I wrote asking how I could clean some dust/dirt that had somehow formed on the image LEDs, also noting there was a brownish area that seemed like it may have been burned somehow... but it was hardly noticeable during use and didn't bother me. They wrote back a few hours later asking for pictures showing the issues I observed. They then asked for verification of my Amazon order. A day later, they informed me the warranty period hadn't yet expired (it had been several months), and they wanted to send a replacement unit. Once upon a time I would've expected, or at least hoped for this level of customer care. But it seems pretty rare to get these days. The new unit arrived intact, and it's picture did indeed look much brighter and better than I'd grown accustomed to seeing. They told me to do whatever I like with the damaged unit. I got this projector specifically for my daughter’s teacher for her small classroom. I assisted her to connect effortlessly to a laptop (via included HDMI cable) or an iPad (wirelessly). It can play YouTube videos, Amazon prime videos, Disney channel’s without any issues. It also plays .mov and .mp4 videos from a memory stick. It also takes signal from AV cables (the red/white/yellow cord sets). The image is super clear for watching videos in a small group. It's perfect to project a computer screen and expect a classroom full of students to copy down what's written. Similarly, the built-in speaker is good enough for listening to the videos but the class already has a external speaker which takes the sounds on the video perfectly. The manual is helpful. The instructions and diagrams are clearly written. I have installed many projectors so I installed and paired the projector without any menu. I looked it through solely to find the list of supported video formats but I didn’t find it. However, it has supported every format of video files I have tried. There's a remote and it works fine but it isn't needed. This is a good thing because of tiny little remotes getting lost or wearing out. (That was my objection to an otherwise good projector that we got for my daughter's school. If the remote gets lost, the projector is useless.) There's a mount for attaching the projector to the ceiling but I don't know if I'd be happy using it. The mount point is nowhere near the balance point, so there would be strain on both the mount in the ceiling and on the body of the projector. Overall, it's a good projector for a small classroom. It may be good enough for use in a business meeting, depending mainly on whether it would be putting up slideshows which are glanced at or showing spreadsheets in which the audience would be going over the numbers in detail; for the latter, the display may not be clear enough. Suggestions: First, put a fastener on the pouch holding the manual; they fly out every time I open the case. Second, move the mount on the bottom closer to the center of balance. Third, put a trap washer on the height adjuster because the adjuster can be unscrewed; it's easy to screw it back in but there's a chance that it will be lost. The DBPOWER L21 LCD Video Projector is fantastic. Whether you want to use it for a media room, a backyard party, or a board room presentation, you won't be disappointed. Before I get into the details of the product functions, I want to talk about what the projectors comes with. It comes with a box with a handle and internal padding that is durable enough that you could reasonably store the projector and cables in if you wanted this to be a portable projector. The remote is very simple and intuitive to use. The translucent lens cover fits well. It comes with HDMI and an AV cable adapter. Missing is an RCA cable for older computers, but the fact it has and RCA port at all is a nice touch. The power cord is about 3' or 1m long. If you need more length a simple extension cord is all you need. The projector has a standard tripod mounting hole if you wanted to permanently mount it to a ceiling or use a tripod. Using the settings you can easily flip the projected image to account for a variety of mounting options. It also has a centered adjustable leg to raise or lower the projector angle with an appropriate keystone adjuster built into the focus knob. The user manual is reasonably well written and will get you up and running in no time. All of the input options worked as expected. One note on the SD card, I could only get up to 32gb cards to work. 64gb or larger, no matter how I formatted them would not work. Multiple input devices can be connected at the same time. Switching between them can be done either with the remove or using the buttons on the projector. I was able to connect a 2tb hard drive to the USB port and multiple HDMI devices worked without issue, from a Chromecast to a Laptop computer. I also tested out the RCA port with a laptop adapter and it worked flawlessly as well. Audio works with all of the input options except the RCA. There isn't an option to input audio with the RCA, so stick to HDMI. The audio quality was much better than I expected. It is loud and clear. I set this up on Halloween and you could hear it down the block at 70%! Sure its not Dolby surround sound, but it works great and will definitely be enough for a backyard party or in a media room or conference room. Probably most importantly is the quality of the video. I was able to adjust the screen from a small room to a full display on my garage. In both environments the image was crisp and very easy to bring into focus. Text was easy to read and even PowerPoint presentations from a laptop looked fantastic. The projector comes preset for cinema mode. You can pick from other preset options or make and save your own adjustments. I'll be uploading a video to try and capture the quality, but hopefully these images will give some idea. The L21 LCD projector seems durable. I don't know how long the lamp will last, but I hope to get many years of use out of it at the least. I plan to use it as a portable projector.
