I thought this product would be cheap, as in inferior quality, but I am most satisfied with it. The length was satisfactory, the wire protection is sufficient for a garden or yard, the LEDs are ideally spaced apart to make a lighted path in an otherwise dark garden. The best part is that the LEDs are not ridiculously bright and blinding. They're like the red 'low battery' LED on a mobile phone or the soft glow of a firefly's butt. As in, it won't light a room. In fact, the glow distance is probably 6-12 inches at the most, depending on the mode. The plastic seems like the type that would brittle over time. Only time will tell whether or not the constituent parts can withstand being exposed to the elements (sun, rain) every day throughout the year. My main issue is that at twilight the circuit toggles light modes and I have to reset them every day. It's not difficult to do, but becomes a pain after the first four days. ... show more

UPDATE : They lasted less than 72 hours . They were pretty well. they worked. probably worth it a party that's about it. This is my second set of lights but my first time buying from this company. The lights were carefully packaged neatly wrapped, and fully charged to test. I placed the lights in the lantern that I purchased them for carefully making sure that the solar box is positioned to continue charging. The previous light set I purchased from a different company didn't even last 24 hours. I'm hopeful for these as they were already charged and packaged with care. I hope to leave an update in a couple of days. FYI: The brightness in full sun is quite visible! If they turn on tonight I'm sure it will be beautiful. ... show more

Have bought so many of these from Amazon. They all basically work the same and come with little plastic solar panels and stakes. These were very nicely packaged and not tangled like some of the others. They were added to a big tree in the front yard. Just to give you an idea of how long they stay on…They were installed and powered on at 5:30 PM. They came on shortly after 9 PM and went off shortly before 6 AM.
