This has a light consistency (like water) and a fresh minty scent. My dog has long ears that spend a lot of time brushing the ground while she's head-down sniffing. She spends hours outside everyday. Lately she'd been scratching her right ear much more than usual and I decided to try cleaning her ears at home. The bottle is large and I find it easy to squeeze out the amount of liquid I need. This did not cause irritation but she did shake her head while I was putting it in. Next time I'll keep a hold on her ear after the base massage until I've wiped it out before letting go to avoid the liquid spraying out. Although I saw only a little bit of dirt come out of her ear, her scratching is significantly less. It doesn't take much and I think this bottle will last quite a while. I kind of wonder why it has "dye" as an ingredient but again, this doesn't cause her any unwanted effects. ... show more

I’ve tried a few different ear cleaners for my dog, and this one has been good for him. The biggest win for me is that my dog didn’t mind it at all, no pulling away, shaking excessively, or acting like it stung. That alone makes a huge difference when you’re trying to keep up with regular ear care. The formula seems very gentle but still effective. After applying it, I used cotton balls to wipe out his ears, and it definitely helped loosen up some gunk and debris. It made the cleaning process quicker and less of a struggle compared to other products I’ve used. I also noticed a mild, clean scent that helped with ear odor without being overpowering. It doesn’t smell harsh or overly medicated, which I appreciate. The bottle is large and you get a lot of product, so it’s a great value. Overall, this feels like a solid option for routine ear maintenance. It’s gentle, does what it’s supposed to do, and keeps the whole process stress-free for both me and my dog. ... show more

I have a dog and a cat, and both are sensitive to a lot of medications, cleaning products and medical/topical solutions, so I’m very careful about what I use on them. So far this has been great. I check their ears every month and clean when needed, and I’ve used this on both of them now one time and neither had any kind of a reaction. I use a small amount on a soft gauze pad and gently wipe their ears out when needed. It effectively and gently cleaned their ears and I felt safe using it on such a sensitive area. The scent is very light and pleasant and didn’t bother either of them or cause any discomfort. The bottle is a nice size and will last for a long time which makes this a great value. We have a cat with itchy ears and we have been putting this into her ears daily for a few days now. The scratching seems to have lessened or stopped. It smells like a very mild mint mouthwash scent. It does not have a large list of ingredients and is made in the U.S. It has no alcohol in the ingredients. It can be used on puppies and kittens per the bottle. So far, excellent—black lab with near-constant ear infections, and semi-sore ears because of this. Hoping this can keep her ears cleaner between infections without hurting. So far it isn't hurting her, which is a great sign.
