For a long time I avoided buying the DASH Tasti-Crisp with digital controls because the last thing I need is another kitchen "gadget" that gets shoved to the back of a cabinet. But I've owned this air fryer for a couple of weeks and rarely use the oven anymore. The controls are simple and it is so quiet that I can barely hear it. The small size makes it useful for only one or two people. The DASH is ideal for cooking frozen french fries, chicken tenders, veggies, salmon, pizza, stuffed mushrooms and more, but I was surprised that it does a great job on steaks up to 16 ounces. The kitchen stays cool since the tiny DASH uses only 1000 watts, about the same as a toaster, microwave or coffee maker. Cleanup is simple since the interior plate and bin are both dishwasher safe, but using disposable sheets of 6.4X6.4 parchment paper with holes makes it even easier. Cooking times are about 1/2-2/3rds as long as a traditional oven. While there is no "warmup" button, you can program one of three buttons for three minutes to preheat the DASH. Oddly, since it uses a digital readout, there is no clock display like you see on other digital devices. Shrug. But the touch sensitive time and temperature controls are easy and accurate. I've been pleased with the DASH Tasti-Crisp and, if you are single or a couple without kids, this device might be just the ticket for your kitchen. Five stars. ... show more

Everything about this cooker is easy. What I love the most is how simple it is to clean up. Everything I’ve cooked has come out extremely good except for steak. Steak definitely is going to be a challenge to get crisp on the outside. Most everything I’ve made the first time has come out extremely good. This was a great surprise for the cost. The only thing I regret is not getting a bigger one which will probably be the next purchase. The only difficult thing for this cooker were the controls, they were a little more difficult to get used to but when you get used to them they’re pretty easy also. In general, I waited too long to get this. I truly regret it because the ease of use and easy clean up are really great. There is a very limited cookbook that comes with it with basic items. ... show more

This air fryer is the first one I have ever owned and I love it! There is just my husband and I so we didn’t need a big one. We use it for French fries, tater tots and leftovers when we want food to be crispy. No more heating an entire oven or making a mess of frying with oil. This little air fryer works great! When they said for 1 or 2 people ..... they meant it. With that said, it does a great job! It heats up quickly but, you must remember to turn your food over half way through the cooking time. Would definitely recommend....
