All we received were some lackluster illustrations to install these lights as plug-ins. Hopefully, you can see how I wired them up and put together the brackets. Definitely took me a few to think it all through but, super pumped with how they turned out! A couple things to remember… The wires look identical to wire it up but, upon a closer look, one has some white running through it if you turn it and look in some good lighting. White to white. Black to black. You do not need the copper ground wire if you are using it as a plug-in. Just wind it up out of the way. Ours came with many different sized bolts, washers and nuts. Refer to my pics to see exactly how to assemble each bolt and washer. You won’t need EVERY bolt and washer to assemble the light. In the second and fourth pic, this is how it will look to you against the wall and the third is what will be against the wall. On our left sconce we had a stud to drill into so I measured where I wanted the top hole and, screwed in the entire assembled bracket and the used a small level, vertically along the straight piece in the middle and, marked the second hole to finish screwing the bracket in. We placed the protruding bolts over the sconce holes horizontally and used the decorative nuts to tighten it all up. We had to use something to tighten it all up because it got a little difficult after a few turns by hand. The other side we had to mark the top hole then used an anchor and marked the second hole and screwed that one in too before we repeated the process. The small, blue bolts and nuts are best just hand tightened because it allows you to shift the sconce on the wall if your measurements are off a bit. Don’t go bananas screwing in your top anchor screw after you put the assembled plate on or you’ll have to back it out a bit to align it better but, until you get the sconce on you won’t know EXACTLY how it’ll fit. Overall, it just takes a bit of patience but, it can be done and, in the end, we are super happy with how they have created the perfect glow in our bedroom. ... show more

Okay, if you’re looking for gold sconces and you’re not trying to spend $120 minimum these are far greater then their monetary value. They look amazing! I expected “you get what you pay for” but these are not the case- far exceeded my expectations! You can hardwire or wire in the wall plugs that come with it. Worth more then the value listed! ... show more

I bought these for our lake house that is also a vacation rental. The price on these were fabulous for the set of two. They were easy to install. We used the plug in installation (you can do hard wire too if you prefer) because I did not want to run electrical to hard wire them. We had them installed in less than an hour and they look great. Sadly I took the pics before making the bed so you can't see how great the room looks overall but they serve the purpose for us. I hid the cord underneath some framed prints. Also some people complained about the gold for the turn on knob being a different color. I noticed a slight difference but it doesn't bother me enough to worry about it...and I am pretty damn picky! I want to start off by saying this light is NOT a ready, plug in use type of product as I originally thought. It has two source light options which is wonderful for those who are handy. It product allows for a junction box installation OR plug in connection option. I was very confused when I first opened it and the instructions that come with product re pretty limited. If you aren't an electrician, it can be confusing. After youtubing and coming back to the actual product listing on amazon - I was able to figure it out. Naturally, it took me almost an hour to set up one light because I had to figure out how to hang it but the 2nd light took me only 15 mins to put together and hang. I would recommend this! I would buy it again knowing fully what I was getting myself into. Definitely recommend buying the bulbs that the listing recommends because the current bulbs I put in for the time being is SUPER BRIGHT, almost blinding. ... show more

These sconces are great, especially if you use them with an LED bulb. Installation is super easy, only took 15 minutes for both lights. The company sent a sconce that didn't work, but they immediately sent a replacement AND included a handwritten note apologizing for the inconvenience. PROs: They look nice and the finish is decent for the price. CONS: The nuts that have to go on the front are silver and not fully covered by the gold cap. If you're a perfectionist, this will totally bother you... and without the nuts, the sconce has too much play in it. Also, you'll have to wire this up, whether you want to hardwire it (you'll need a junction box) or you want to plug it it in. It's not already assembled, ready to plug into the wall. Also, it does NOT come with bulbs, so make sure you buy bulbs to finish the look. ... show more

1. Design looks great in person 2. Construction seems decent 3. Good packaging 4. The finish is painted gold, not brass in anyway. Mine was slightly dimply as well. Overall they looked “cheap” because of the finish.

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I wanted! Such an awesome touch to my busy wall. It made my room complete and also gave it a more of hotel feel. Everyone loves them. Installing them was pretty hard for me. I’m not familiar with electrical installation so I didn’t understand the instructions or wires at all. I found it very difficult because the instructions were confusing and I wish they provided photos of the actual wires, how to connect them and how they should look at the very end when you’re done. Better yet, maybe even a video of how to install them would have been nice. Luckily my cousin is a electrician and she attached them for me. As far as the mounting goes, it wasn’t too hard.
