  • Beautiful

So far so great ! Takes a long while for the first few fills while setting up..A day or two but worth it once running.. We added a 7 inch Boroux Water Level Spigot for Boroux Legacy in Stainless Steel Finish so you know how much water you got before any spills !

  • Premium Filtration, Premium Price — A Long-Term Investment in Water Quality
Color: Polished Finish Size: 2.25 Gallons Style: 4 Filters
As a health-conscious consumer focused on reducing chlorine, microplastics, PFAs, and sediment from municipal tap water, I was optimistic about investing in this countertop gravity filtration system from Culligan. While the performance and build quality meet expectations, the tradeoffs between convenience, cost, and form factor deserve careful consideration. Pros – Why It’s Worth the Investment: Exceptional Water Quality: The ceramic-carbon filter system leaves no aftertaste. Water tastes crisp and clean—no metallic or plasticky notes. Trusted Brand: Backed by Culligan’s reputation, the filtration claims stand strong, particularly when compared to competitors like Berkey. Robust Construction: The unit is solid, well-assembled, and intuitive to operate. No electricity or plumbing required—just gravity and patience. Versatile Use Case: Can double as a beverage dispenser for events—just add ice to the top tank and pour. Minimal Plastic Contact: The water touches mostly ceramic, not plastic—a major plus for health-conscious buyers. Cons – Expect These Operational Challenges: Slow Filtration Rate: Even with two filters, the system can take up to 24 hours or longer to process 2.25 gallons. Setup issues (e.g., overtightened wing nut) can worsen flow. Initial Delay: You’ll need to run three full tanks and discard them before use—plan for a multi-day ramp-up before drinkable output. Limited Visibility: You can’t see the water level in either tank without lifting the top section. Monitoring is inconvenient. Bulky Footprint: The unit's tall form factor won’t fit under standard upper cabinets and takes up significant counter space. High Filter Replacement Costs: One filter comes with the unit; additional packs are ~$150 for two. At ~$1/day for a two-person household, it adds up quickly—but still may undercut the cost and waste of bottled water. ROI Perspective: At first glance, the replacement filter cost feels steep. But run the numbers—compare that to 4 months of bottled water and the clutter in your pantry or fridge. This system delivers peace of mind, quality hydration, and long-term value—if you’re willing to frontload the cost and tolerate the slow pace. Final Verdict: A solid, high-quality water filtration system that’s purpose-built for users who prioritize health over speed and don’t mind investing upfront for long-term returns. If water purity is non-negotiable for you, this unit is a high-integrity solution—even if it comes with a few logistical headaches. • Best tasting water EVER!
Color: Polished Finish Size: 3 Gallons Style: 3 Filters
Way to go Culligan! I was extremely pleased when this arrived. As someone who values a product designed to improve health, Culligan does not disappoint! Extreme durability being constructed from stainless steel as are the lid and spigot. No plastics to get in the way. Culligan took every effort to ensure the parts fit well, are safe and prevent any leaking. The quality of water this unit dispenses is unparalleled to anything I have - including my Samsung refrigerator filters. We have harder water where I live. The residue is present on anything hand washed. Even with a sink filter system, residue is still present. We go through Samsung filters faster than normal due to this issue. Lifespan was supposed to be 6 months, but we kill them in 3-4. Having two kids in sports and active lifestyles, we go through A LOT of water. With water being the most important resource every person needs, the cleaner and healthier, the better! Culligan delivers in spades. The gravity water filter removes 99% of lead, 99% of Total PFAS and 96% of microplastics. The water this unit dispenses has no odors and is virtually tasteless. It’s amazing. A few key factors to point out. The ceramic, granular activated carbon filter removes virtually all impurities while preserving the beneficial minerals. No electricity needed - another reason we wanted this. 3 gallon capacity meets all of our needs - though we do fill it daily to always have the lower basin full. As someone who also believes luck favors the prepared, having a unit such as this delivers clean water even in a disaster. Maybe that’s the doomsday part of me talking, but if your tap water is contaminated, what did you do? Culligan takes the worry away. The only downside, if it’s really a downside, is it takes a LONG while to filter the water. It’s a good two days to get your initial unit ready for consumption. It is recommended to run 3 cycles of water through the filter. For those unfamiliar with gravity filters such as this, they are SLOW, to say the least. But the reward is the cleanest, crispest water you’ll ever taste. Is it cost effective? I would say it depends on usage. The filters are expensive. About $150 for a pack of 3 which is what this unit comes with. Seeing as we spend a fortune on quality water in bottles with the kids sports and us, it saves us a lot. Also, there’s no true way to tell how long the filters will last as everything is manual. No gauges and such. Probably the best way is to test the water periodically otherwise I’d go with changing it every 150 gallons or so. Something you’ll have to track on your own as well. The trade off is it doesn’t matter if the power goes out for an extended period of time or the water supply is tainted, this unit still works as intended. I will also point out that by the third cycle of water goes through the filter, the whole process gets faster. To us, this is a necessity, not a want when it comes to clean, healthy water. With a trusted name in purity, Culligan delivers everything you could need and want. We highly recommend this unit and are already ordering filters, just in case. You never know and as I said earlier, luck favors the prepared. Five stars across the board. ... show more
