  • Made with good quality materials and works really well
This made from good quality materials. It was easy to put together and use. The filtering really made a difference in how our water tasted. we live in an area that all our water comes from a river so it has never tasted good. This helps us not to have to spend so much on drinking and cooking water. I know it is a little costly but if the towns water is as bad as ours is this is well worth it. ... show more

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE
First of all, this water filter system is made with superior materials. Sturdy and strong, this item is built to last. From a design perspective, it has limited components making this an ideal system to have in off-grid applications. A top-feeding system, you'll have to lift water to the top (unless you have a pump-which there are many battery operated ones available online) in order to fill. While this is a filtration system, it is designed to filter forever chemicals, lead, and other debris. It is advisable to boil water wherever possible in order to have extra protection without additional chemical involvement. ... show more

  • Works Well Works Well
This water filter is taller than I thought. I am terrible at determining size of things without seeing them. Because of the size I needed to order a sturdier stand for it due to having little counter space. It was fairly simple to put together, comes with three filters of which I can decide how many to install for use. Each filter lasts 300 gallons of water added, so if all 3 are put into the top component I can use all of them for 900 gallons of water. Using only 1 as I decided to do leaves 2 open holes and they provide water tight plugs to close them off. I also want to plumb water from an existing line I have right next to the water filter for easy filling. Otherwise having to carry water from sink to filter could be messy and heavy and I already have to do this with my water distiller. The design is very similar to some other brands, and I think letting gravity do the work is a great idea, saves money, and still cleans your water if the power goes out. It makes no more noise than the sound of water gently flowing as it filters through. I can’t really taste a difference in the water, but it takes my tap water from undrinkable to safe by what my water testing kits say! I have 3 different testers and they all have the same results. It’s a shame that our water company says our tap water is safe to drink, but all my test kits results said it wasn’t. My Culligan Water filter now makes my tap water safe and that is very important for my family’s health. ... show more

  • I LOVE having this water filter system! I LOVE having this water filter system!
Let’s get the one negative over and done with before we get on to the positives. And let me be clear, this is NOT even really a negative. It’s just something you should be aware of. This is not a set up and use it immediately type of system. Oh, it’s a VERY easy set up, so that’s not an issue. And you CAN immediately fill it with water. But it’s going to take you quite some time to filter three full canisters of water through the filters before you can start drinking the water. So, it’s not exactly “plug and play”. It’s more like plug and wait a little while before playing! Now, on to the positives. This thing is built right! It is stainless steel throughout. The ONE thing I was concerned with was water leaking at the spigot. That was not an issue AT ALL! The kit comes with an inner and an outer “washer” that keeps any water from leaking through the spigot opening. They also include a wrench that allows you to tighten down the nut that holds the spigot in place. Nice touch! As I mentioned, the setup is VERY simple. Instructions are included, but weren’t even needed. Everything was very intuitive as to what it was for and where it went. You have the option of using 1 to 3 filters. To me, it’s worth the time to use just one filter. Yes, it takes longer for the water to pass through to the bottom container unit, but that’s fine with me. The water doesn’t come in contact with any plastic… at least none that I’m aware of. The filters are ceramic and I don’t think any portion of it that contacts the water is plastic. Once you take the time to filter the first three batches of water, you’re set for drinking it. Even though I live in an area where the tap water is in pretty good shape, you could tell a difference in the filtered water. It has a cleaner, crisper taste to it. I know, that sounds goofy, but that’s really the best way to describe it. I am VERY pleased to have this Culligan water filter system and would recommend it to anyone that is not pleased with the taste of their tap water! ... show more

  • Great water quality Great water quality
This is an excellent water filtration solution for those who can’t afford a full house RO or an under sink version. It sits nicely on the counter and matches well with our stainless steel appliances. We have a pull out faucet so it’s easy to fill this up each night but it’s pretty high if it’s on the stand so in order to see inside I have to stand on my tiptoes and I’m 5’8” so keep that in mind. You also cannot overfill it and if you do it will leak. That would be one thing that I would improve upon is to be able to see how much water is left in the bottom half to ensure you don’t overfill. It’s overfilled twice since we got it and basically dripped on the counter all night. So you need to ballpark how much water you use all day because you don’t want to dismantle it every time before refilling. Besides that the install was pretty easy for my husband and I’m pretty confident I could have done it myself if I had to with the instructions because there weren’t too many parts. The 3 filters are pretty decent size and already they are much smaller so it’s definitely working. This is a great solution for our water needs. We wash our fruits in this water, make baby formula and cook with it and make tea. Very happy with this system. Oh and the water from this tastes great and no longer stinks like chlorine and chemicals. Great! ... show more

  • Not Worth the Hassle or the Price
I ordered this to replace an aging filter system from another brand, thinking my wife would appreciate the upgrade since she’s the one who usually refills the old unit. Unfortunately, we quickly discovered that filling this system is far more effort than it’s worth. What really made it less appealing was learning how expensive the replacement filters are—and how short their lifespan is. Let’s talk about the filters: The installation design is confusing, and no matter what you do, there’s always a little water left at the bottom that doesn’t get filtered. Even after carefully following the instructions and rinsing the filters, we consistently found sediment floating around. Yes, it eventually gets filtered out, but it means cleaning the water out more often. Then there’s the cost: about $150 per filter, and the box claims they last for approximately 50 gallons. In a household like ours, that goes fast. Filling the unit is another headache. You either remove the top and wrestle it into the sink—without any handles—or use another container to fill it, which just adds extra steps. If you choose the sink method, expect water leakage when moving it back to the base. Bottom line: For the price of this system and its filters, you can find something easier and more practical. We ended up adding a pre-filter to our refrigerator and honestly couldn’t tell any difference in water quality compared to the Culligan system. Final verdict: Overpriced, inconvenient, and high-maintenance. Save your money and look for a simpler solution. ... show more

  • Best tasting water from a filter. Best tasting water from a filter.
When it comes to water filtration, I focus on two key factors: the quality of the filter itself and the way filtered water is delivered. Many systems, like standard refrigerator filters, still rely on plastic components, which can raise questions about purity. What sets this Culligan system apart is how thoughtfully it addresses both concerns. The ceramic filter effectively removes impurities while avoiding plastic contact, and the stainless steel reservoir eliminates risks of corrosion or chemical leaching. Its 3-gallon capacity is generous, and the sleek, modern design fits well in any kitchen. Setup and maintenance are straightforward, making it a convenient daily solution. My only wish is that it offered a way to keep the water cold without relying on ice. Still, in terms of taste and overall quality, this system delivers some of the best drinking water I’ve experienced. ... show more
