Have been using these for about a couple of weeks now. So far they are excellent, all manner of cooking and have even had kids burn eggs and rice a few times with no issues cleaning up. They heat well and even, solid construction and look great. My only complaint would be the lids have a metal band in edge of glass that doesn’t seem to have a super solid seem, you’ll notice when cleaning around edge, no issues yet. Also the curve of the frying pans, small and larger, has a bit of a lip so if you’re used to flipping omelettes or things like that it takes a bit of getting used to. I would say for the price and what’s you get these are well worth it. ... show more

This is such a nice set! Good quality for the price and easy to cook with. It cleans easily and seems to be holding up well. I cook with them almost every day and they still look new! Highly recommend.

A beautiful pot and pan set in a different caliber than it’s price range. These cook wonderfully and evenly. The great thing about them is they are *not* Teflon/non-stick/chemical. Yes, a dab of butter/oil/cooking spray is needed and anything and everything from eggs, garlic, steaks, whatever has cooked just lovely in these. I have not found them difficult to clean at all, let them soak in soap and hot water, take your scrubby or Brillo pad and your very own elbow grease and voila! Clean! People are too unaccustomed to non-stick style pans. When you choose stainless steel cookware you will need to learn how to cook and clean using stainless steel cookware. If you are an old dog who has trouble learning new tricks stainless steel is not for you. These work great with my gas stove. YMMV. I am used to Anolon non-stick costing 2x+ more than this yet for the price this Cuisinart stainless steel set is pretty nice. I took advantage of the sale on this set which includes the steamer. Cuisinart is discontinuing the steamer piece and is selling off the new old stock. The same set absent the steamer is being sold at a close price. I will never use the steamer but I saved a few dollars getting the set with it and the this set came with clear see-through lids instead of metal. Pros: Beautiful finish, comfortable and balanced long handles on the frying pans, even heat distribution (using gas), easy cleaning, also I like the vibe of chrome and stainless steel cookware on the stove instead of the dark gunmetal of Anolon. I was a huge fan of Anolon for years. ALL non-stick eventually wears out and sticks and you have to replace them. Now I prefer stainless steel. I read how to cook using stainless steel and so far I have have near perfect results of no sticking. Cons: The handles and the glass of the lids get hot and stay hot for a longer time than I expected and am used to. There is more play to slide around and they don't feel as well made compared to the 2x+ $ Anolon, again at half the cost of the Anolon I am just mentioning it not complaining. Tip: I read that to clean off stuck on food pour white vinegar and some water in the pan and bring it to a boil. IT WORKS! The first time using the frying pan I fried potatoes and there was some food that easily came off when I boiled water and vinegar in the pan. For actual "stains" use Bar Keepers Friend and a non-scratch cleaning pad after the vinegar treatment. They return to new-like condition. ... show more

    • This is a nice little set that will give you everything you need ...
My girlfriend and I moved in together and got rid of a lot of our old pans. We decided to keep our cast iron cookware, but needed a basic set of pots and pans to replace our old ragtag assortment. This is a nice little set that will give you everything you need (though I will probably buy an additional 12" skillet since the pans are a little smaller than I'm used to). Non-stick pans are a lie. The coating never seems to last as long as you'd like and then food starts getting stuck on them and they are a pain in the butt to wash (not to mention it's a nightmare getting roommates or friends to respect your cookware). These are more like what you would see in professional kitchens (you'll rarely if ever see a professional chef in a real kitchen using a non-stick pan). They're good stainless steel pans that can take a beating. The lack of coating on the handles is a plus since you can place the entire pan in the oven if you want without having to worry about anything melting cracking or breaking. Cleaning is pretty easy and if you end up burning anything, a little bit of elbow grease and some steel wool will have these looking good as new! You do need to wash them after every use though. I'm used to being able to cook some veggies or something in the pan, transfer them to a bowl, then cook some eggs right after. If there are any food bits stuck to the bottom of the pan, EVERYTHING else you put in there will stick. Just give it a quick wipe with the sponge (or steel wool) under the sink and you're good to go. I've also had good luck boiling water in the pans to get any food bits to release their grip. Warning: Steel pans heat up SUPER quickly and efficiently. This likely means that you should crank the temp down from whatever you may be used to. I used to automatically turn everything up to medium or high, but with these pans it's rare that I cook anything past a low setting. ... show more

We desperately needed stainless steel pots and pans and to get rid of our chipping coated ones. I didn’t want to break the bank, but wanted a quality product. This is it!
