  • Wanted something small and fast for my new iPhone 15 Pro Max
Capacity: 4TB
This little drive is definitely fast. On my macbook pro M1 Pro computer it maxes out the capabilities of the thunderbolt 4 port with what the apple silicon chips can support ( a maximum of 10 Gbps and about 900MB/s realized ) since apple silicon chips do not yet support usb 3.1 gen 2 2x2 and cannot use beyond 10Gbps. This drive is honestly still faster than my Sandisk 1050MB/s externall SSD and by about 200MB/s and so it is nice to see it pass a lot of tests for editing up to 8k60 footage off of it. I can only record in 4k60 with my camera gear but I have no doubts this drive will work plenty fast for my needs. I wanted 4TB to be able to throw a FCPX project directly on the drive and edit off of it in a pinch since my Macbook pro is only 1TB. This drive should be fast enough to achive that and copying 800GB in a little over 30 minutes is very impressive indeed. I also bought a cheap metal ring that I adhered to the side of this drive so I can use magsafe to hold it to the back of my phone. This drive is useful for capturing 4k60 Log footage from my iphone and the width is almost as wide as a magsafe ring so that worked nicely. The drive is light and has an activity light too. The drive is tiny compared to what I was expected having used the sandisk drives already. Also the price was a little cheaper than the sandisk option and comes with a 5 year warranty. Im not sure what more you could ask for. Hopefully it lasts a good long while but if not at least I have 5 years of some form of included warranty that I'd imagine they would replace the drive. If your looking for an easy solution to mount an External SSD to the back of your iphone this one should work just fine. ... show more

  • Super light weight, convenient, and speedy, but check first if your device support gen 2x2.
Capacity: 4TB
Bought this during thanksgiving at an attractive discount, I just couldn't resist. The device is deceivably small and light weight. Thermal doesn't seems to be an issue at all with normal usage. (like transferring 200GB+ files at a time) However, with a recently built relatively high end PC and laptop, I still couldn't make the best use of the advertised speed. Best is around 1000MB/s with benchmarking software. Nothing wrong with Crucial really, but the incredibly confusing USB naming standard is to blame. Think about USB 2.0/ 3.1/ 3.2 gen 1/ 3.2 gen 2/ 3.2 gen 2 x2 whatever I don't even know what it is now. I trust the quality of Crucial products and has been buying SSDs from them exclusively. Anyways, get this if you could get on a good discount only for "future proofing", otherwise the X9 is the better deal. ... show more

  • Horrible. Broke after two week. Emailed company four times, zero reply.
Capacity: 2TB
When this hard drive first turned up, I was amazed how small it was. I was extremely happy because as a digital Nomad weight and size is extremely important to me. The transfer speed was lightning fast. However, after two weeks it stopped working. I have emailed the company four times not once have they even bothered to try and respond to me. Do not buy this hard drive. It is an absolute piece of trash and the company is no better When they have no problem in taking your money, and not replying to any of my four emails. A complete and utter disgrace, save your money, buy it from a more reputable company that cares about their customers. Clearly these people couldn’t care less. ... show more

  • This blazes.
Capacity: 4TB
I'm very familiar with Crucial SSDs having replaced older laptop HDDs with Crucial SSDs. The Crucial products have always been rock solid and though my new machines can't support internal upgrades from Crucial, these external SSDs rock. Hard Bear in mind that I'm plugging this in directly to the Thunderbolt 4 port on my 16" M3 Max MacBook Pro so I'm getting ridiculous transfer speeds and love it. I bought this in addition to the 4TB Crucial X6 SSD that I already own and love. With the X10, the smaller one is now dedicated to my 15" M2 MacBook Air — both will be well used and both are very fast (but the X10 is much faster). A note on some of the reviews that have slammed transfer speeds on this SSD, if you're using a USB-A adapter, you're limited to USB-A transfer speeds. There's no way around that except plugging directly into a USB-C 3 or 4 Thunderbolt port. ... show more

  • small , tiny, Valuable
Capacity: 4TB
it seems is 2230 SSD inside, smaller than sandisk extreme and Transcend 380c. the write speed is about 3min to copy from iphone to X10 for 160GB photo & video. and Macbook is much faster. it is good solution for backup purpose during travel. and it is valuable if you pay 209usd only :D
