Description

Are you ready to feel the rush of extreme performance? The Crucial T700 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD offers speeds of up to 11,700MB/s sequential reads and up to 9,500MB/s sequential writes (up to 1,350K/1400K IOPS random reads/writes) for faster gaming, video editing, 3D rendering and heavy workload applications. Built with Micron 232-layer TLC NAND3 and ready for use with your motherboard’s heatsink, the Crucial T700 Gen5 SSD is optimized for performance, takes full advantage of Microsoft DirectStorage, and is backward compatible with Gen3 and Gen4 motherboards. With SSD speeds nearly 2x faster than Gen4 in your PC, you’ll never look back from the Crucial T700! Non- heatsink versions of the Crucial T700 must be installed with a motherboard or alternate heatsink to achieve optimal performance. Typical I/O performance as measured using CrystalDiskMark with a queue depth of 512 and write cache enabled. Windows 11 Core isolation disabled for performance measurement. Fresh out-of-box (FOB) state is assumed. For performance measurement purposes, the SSD may be restored to FOB state using the secure erase command. System variations will affect measured results. See Micron.com/products/nand- flash for more information. Compared to Crucial P5 Plus Gen4 NVMe SSD listed speed of 6,600MB/s. Actual speed may vary. Some storage capacity is used for formatting and other purposes and is not available for data storage. 1GB equals 1 billion bytes. Compared to Gen5 SSD performance without DirectStorage, based on internal test results with supported GPU that uses GPU decompression. Compared to Crucial MX500 SATA SSD listed speed of 560MB/s. Actual speed may vary. Warranty valid for 5 years from the original date of purchase or before writing the maximum total bytes written (TBW) as published in the product datasheet and as measured in the product’s SMART data, whichever comes first. Under typical conditions for airflow and ambient temperature, our pre-installed premium heatsink allows the T700 Gen5 SSD to run at max workload without the need to thermal throttle. Please ensure your drive has proper airflow for maximum performance. Based on internal gaming performance results measured with 3DMark Storage Benchmark SSD performance test for gamers. Actual results may vary. Compared to SSD temperatures without a cooling apparatus, based on internal testing. The Crucial T700 SSD must be installed with a heatsink for optimal performance.

  • Rock-Solid Performance with Sleek Design – A Perfect 5-Star Buy!
Capacity: 1TB Style: T700 with Heatsink
Absolutely love this product! The quality is top-notch, and it feels like it’s built to last. It’s proven extremely reliable so far, running smoothly without any hiccups. It also looks great—sleek and well-designed, definitely a nice addition to my setup. I've experienced a zero crash rate, which is impressive and speaks to the stability of the product. Every function works exactly as expected, and it delivers on all its promises. Best of all, the installation was a breeze—super straightforward with clear instructions. Easily a 5-star purchase! ... show more

  • This thing is solid... and fast!
Capacity: 4TB Style: T700 with Heatsink
This is blazing fast if your motherboard supports PCI 5.0. A couple things to keep in mind, it has it's own heatsink. I think you probably can remove it and use your own but from what I read it is a good one and does the job, so I just used the built in one. At first I had some issues getting it to sit properly on my motherboard and then realized there was a layer of compound on the back of it, which this has one built in, so once I removed that it was fine. The only negative issue I have had is that I can't get the crucial software to set the over provisioning. It keeps telling me to do it manually in drive manager. I think it is worth the price, it is fast, but keep in mind on real world experience, if you already have an m.2 you are likely not to notice a ton of difference unless you are copying a large file, normal day to day use is similar, actually my Sabarent Rocket 4 had better random read write speeds. I posted that benchmark also. But if you want the latest cutting edge and fastest... this is your drive. I also used the EaseUS Partition Master to clone my windows 11 os with zero issues. Worked perfectly, entire system cloned in about 9 minutes. I can't recommend that software enough... ... show more

  • Fastest speeds we have seen so far

As a computer MSP, we build high-end computers. The speeds this provides are unmatched so far.

  • Fast and reliable
Capacity: 2TB Style: T700 without Heatsink
I have bought several of these, no failures They are fast and reliable so far. I consistently get 12GB/s on read with Crystal Disk Mark. As I expected, they require a heat sink to prevent throttling (and they throttle under heavy write loads even with a heat sink). I didn't try active cooling, but if I were going to use these in a mainly heavy load situation, I probably would. ... show more

  • Manage Your Expectations
Capacity: 1TB Style: T700 without Heatsink
I feel like we need to be clear about these high-end products and manage expectations a bit. Sometimes the marketing can lead one to believe you're getting more than you are in terms of real-world performance. To be fair, Crucial does deliver on their claims. This is a fantastic product, in that it is reliable, well made, and technically faster than last gen. That being said, unless your use case is one in which you're reading and writing gigantic files, you're not going to see the benefit of gen 5 vs gen 4 in "practical" use. Most reads and writes are not sequential, and as such, you're not going to feel the speed. Just launching into various apps and games, you won't feel the difference at all. The potential difference between load times is within margin of error for the most part. To use a car analogy, non-sequential reads is like having a Bugatti that goes 200+ miles per hour, so you floor it coming off a stop light hoping to go fast. But the next stop light is 100 yards away. You can go pretty fast in that amount of time, because it's still a super fast car, but there's not enough room to reach top speed. Compared to a Corolla (spinning platter HDD), it's night and day. Compared to Lamborghini (gen 4 M.2), there might not be enough difference to make a difference. The are real world applications to these drives, to be sure. Mostly in the productivity and server space, though. Navigating the internet and loading games is not it, in my opinion. But with that said, if you're the kind of person who just wants to latest and best because it's available, go for it. That's what I did. I use this as my C drive with the OS on it, because why not? Theoretically, there's some speed increase to be had there, even if it's hardly noticeable. ... show more

  • The quickest death of a hard drive ever!
Capacity: 4TB Style: T700 without Heatsink
After 1 year of being installed the drive ran out blocks and is now no read only and will not boot to windows. For all the money I spent for the "top of the line" nvme drive the lifespan turning it into $400 of trash. My disappointment is deep because I can't afford to replacement and it means I am down 4 TB of space I could use and now my all in one solution is all in none. 6 hours of research later I was able CLI into the drive to copy my bookmarks out of my user folder. Bottom line this is a disaster and a time sink. Never again! After 25 years in IT I have seen DOA devices so that is not what happened here. The drive just ate itself to death. This is fast but its lifespan is a lot to be desired. The drive is designed in a way that it will do this and do it rather quickly. ... show more
