    • Delayed start is the game changer

The most practical slow cooker I've found. Like all crock pots I've tried however, if food is room temperature it overestimates how much time things need to cook. The delayed start feature doesn't seem to be a delay - it's warm to the touch, but perhaps adjusts the temperature down to delay finished time. But it does allow you far more cooking hours (the cook, it says, away up to max 11 hours) before it switches over to warm, if before leaving you're setting the earliest ideal dinner hour at which you want your meal to be ready (provided that's more than 5 hours from setting it to on). I'm at home when I use it, and still find it a godsend to be able to pretty much set it and forget it. The "high" setting is often enough for me to start my chopped onions or ground meat in (it takes a while), before reducing it to "low" for the full sauce or stew, if you're too lazy to start things in a separate pan. I really enjoy this crockpot. I do feel it gets too warm though, but they may be because my old one was dying and perhaps not heating up properly. I LOVE the lock and go feature. I wish I purchased a carrying case because if you are traveling with it, the exterior does get pretty warm as well. I have not yet used the delayed meal option, but the instructions were very clear and I enjoy how it also included recipes in the instruction booklet. I was sooo happy to have a cord wrap, but unfortunately the plug in doesn't have a connecter or the little clip like option to secure it to the wrapped cord so it still comes undone unless you tuck it under the wrapped cord. We constantly roast whole chickens in it! ... show more

Love this slow cooker. We use it for meat, beans, and soups. It is a real time saver and is great to have things cooked when you get home from work. Highly recommend buying more than one so you can have multiple items cooking at the same time.
