Description

CRC Brakleen Brake Parts Cleaner is formulated to quickly and safely remove grease, oil brake fluid and other contaminants from brake linings, pads, drums and calipers and all other mechanical components. It is perfect for cleaning machinery, motors and general mechanical equipment when a vapor degreaser is required. Eliminates clutch slippage and is ideal for removing grease and contaminates from CV joints and wheel bearings and reduces maintenance cost. Protect all rubber parts and painted surfaces from overspray. Selected solvents, controlled evaporation, low surface tension and high density ensure superior cleaning and degreasing properties and can even lift and remove oil and grease that has already penetrated linings.

I was expecting something ather spectacular and this is just ordinary. Part of the sprayer top broke when I went to open it; it still worked but I needed to keep it stable with my thumb. The print for directions is very tiny - really awkward to read. You need to avoid getting it on rubber or paint.. It is good on black grease; doesn't do anything for rust. Gets the inside of the wheel rims clean of gunk. I dont like that you cannot get it on rubber - I did by mistake, and tried to wipe it off. Its clear greasy stuff that softens dark, grimy grease so that you can wipe it off. It would have been better with a straw type attachment like the one that comes with WD40. ... show more

I run a small motorcycle workshop mainly dealing with Japanese sportbikes. I've used the CRC Brakleen for a while but it was the regular flammable stuff from local car shops. I use it because it doesn't stain the plastics if it gets onto them unlike some other brands. I ordered from Amazon because it was a good deal but I didn't realize this Brakleen was slightly different. This is much better for cleaning than the flammable stuff as it doesn't evaporate off as quick but it does mean we can't use it to test for fuelling a non running cylinder on an engine. ... show more

This is not 'GREEN' nor ozone friendly ..... CRC has a version of Brake Cleaner that is ... I, personanally not do not find the ozone friendly version to work as good as this original version ..... This is a staple in my garage ...... I use it for anything needing cleaned or degreased ...... I hope CRC does not stop producing it ...... ... show more

When I read about this cleaner I thought you had to pump the trigger to make it work but you just squeeze the trigger and it sprays it is pressurized in the can and very easy to use,i use brake cleaner all the time and this is the first time I have found this type of can,will buy more in the future,it's very easy to use. ... show more

CRC just makes great stuff. The brake cleaner works on brake but it can be used to clean oil off of parts or concert. Always test your surface in a small unconscious spot to see how the material responds to the cleaner. Better safe than sorry. So far I have not had a problem.

Amazingly powerful cleaner. Spray on gunky stuff and it comes off. Occasionally, you might actually have to wipe. Unfortunately, the paint on my valve cover had some peeling spots (it's old paint) and the cleaner removed some of it. I guess that's unfortunate, anyways.
