This is the same stuff you've been buying at the parts store for $7 a can, only it's a huge bottle of it for way less. The last jug lasted me about 16 months, which if I'm running through 2 or 3 cans a month is a pretty easy savings. Basically paid for the sprayer I needed the first time and every jug after that is more money for project cars and tools.

Buying brake cleaner by the can gets expensive and it's inconvenient. We switched over to a refillable pressurized sprayer and can now fill it with brake cleaner. That's the reason for purchasing this Brakleen by the gallon.

I was going through far too much brake cleaner in aerosol cans on a restoration project I'm working on and needed a solution. I knew that the stuff came in gallons but it was real tough for me to source at my local parts store. This stuff is absolutely the real deal, and chlorinated so it seems to work better than the non version I kept buying cans of. Was definitely skeptical on buying a gallon of highly flammable noxious chemicals through the mail, but the box showed up in usual amazon prime fashion. On time, perfectly packed in a cushion of air and zero leaks. I paired this with one of these sprayers: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035FH906/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_23 Once you pump up the can, it sprays out with good force and for all of my needs so far it's been just the ticket. The initial cost of this setup is almost exactly what a case of 12 brake cleaner cans cost through my local parts house, but I'm sure theres way way more volume of cleaner for the money.

This stuff is amazing. Im so happy someone developed it. Great deal too, compared to the aerosol cans. I bought a refillable compressed air canister from Amazon and just pour some cleaner in it then charge it with an air chuck on my air compressor. One intriguing quality of this awesome liquid is it’s surprisingly heavy. When you first lift the box when it arrives you will think there’s a cinder block in there. This has no bearing on anything, just a cool little surprise of sorts.

This is the rocket-fuel chlorinated version, which is banned by the 16-ounce size can in New Jersey where only the green formula is available in spray bottle size. Works great, though a bit less forgiving on your liver, so wear gloves & breathing safety gear. Shipping is another story. The first box came with this thrown in the bottom on the cap to bear the brunt of impact & leaked carcinogenic essential oils all over everything else. Good Ol' Amazon replaced it all and I got the second box with this thrown in the bottom the same way & cracking the cap, though this time it didn't leak. Apparently, the boys at Drunken Three-Years Old Amazon Forwarders failed Lifting and Packing 101.

Cheaper to buy the the brake cleaner by itself than buying the spray cans from the parts store. You do need to already own a pressurized spray can though. If you do, then you paying less for the brake cleaner and getting more of it. Brake cleaner is good. Just like any other brake cleaner. Gets rid of dirt and grime really well.
