Overall, we like the stools. After assembling the first one of the four we purchased, we set it on the floor and it was perfectly level on the floor--no rocking side-to-side. But then the other three of the four we purchased had the same problem. None of the other three, after following the instructions perfectly, laid level on the floor. Each rocked like a leg was too short. (It turned out that two legs were too short). So I decided to stick a cardboard shim between the top of the offending legs and the bottom of the stool's seat. I did this to lengthen the two legs that were too short. To do this . . . 1. I tore from the box the bolts had come in, two small cardboard (about the size of a matchbook cover). 2. I then folded these two rectangles in half making a four-layer cardboard shim 3. I unbolted one of the legs that seemed shorter from the bottom of the stool's seat 4. To jam this four-layer cardboard shim between the leg's top and the bottom of the stool's seat, I placed the middle of the cardboard shim between the top of stool's leg and the bottom of the stool's seat. 5. Then I pushed to force the shim into position, dragging the shim into position as I forced the stool's leg back into position atop the bottom rim of the stool's seat. (Note: I had tried to just force the shim between the top of the leg and bottom rim of the seat with no success, so I ended up pushing it between the top of the leg and bottom of the stool's rim as I pushed the leg back atop the bottom rim of the stool.) 6. I repeated the process for the leg directly across and it leveled the stool. 7. I also had trouble with two of the four stools aligning the chair back to the seat. Tip: bolt the sides then bolt the middle.

I put the stools together with ease (except some holes didn't line up) You have to work hard to get the screws on the back to go in and try different screws in different holes to find the right combination. The stools look nice. The swivel section from seat to legs starting wobbling after 1 month. My wife and myself are both under 200 lbs. but the seller pointed out it was a 200 lb weight limit.??? The backs are straight so you can’t set fully on the stool unless you are a small child. I didn't read these were kiddy stools. The screws keep loosening up every 2 weeks so keep an allen wrench taped under the seat. It has been 2 months and this product is not performing as quality. The seller offered me $18.00 return but if I remember I paid about $242.00. The return period was up by 2 months so I guess this is the life of this product. If you want nice looking wobble kiddy stools and don't mind re-buying every 2 months this is the product for you. I notified the seller for Amazon but $18.00 was the offer. You can't buy a gallon of gas for that. Sorry but I generously gave 2 stars in all areas unless the seller decides I received lemons.

I love these bar stools! They were very easy to assemble and the instructions were very, very easy to follow. They are priced pretty reasonably and are generally well constructed. They look and feel so nice! The metal foot rest is awesome. They also have nylon sliders on the feet so they don't scratch my hardwood floor. Be advised that the seat is a BLACK leather-like material (even though the on-line pictures make them look gray). One caveat is that they have a very slight wobble, (like one leg is maybe slightly shorter than the others), but it's really not a deal breaker. All in all, a good purchase for our family!

Chair backs have a hole in them. I contacted seller and they said "it is not defective. It will not affect the use of the item". This is not acceptable and not represented in the product discription or product photos. I don't want chair backs with extra holes in them that serve no function. I do not recommend buying this item.

We like these stools, however, the first time I sat on one I put my hands on the side and swiveled. In the process I almost took off my fingertip as it slipped in the small gap. Took one star off for this. I worry about my grandkids being around these. We will keep them and try to figure out how to create something to keep this from happening to someone else. Too much of a pain to send back.

I looked forever for the right barstools and I read all the reviews which were very impressive. I bought two sets and one set assembled nicely but The second set was a nightmare. The holes on the seat did not align with the holes on the back. Also we were short a n washers for the screws. I am very disappointed and I’m hoping that I can get a refund with no problems and get another set that will work. Later I returned them and was approved for a refund so I ordered 2 more. The first one was a breeze. The second one was difficult in putting the screws into the seat. My husband had me sit on it and then he was able to get more leverage to turn the screw, he used a drift pin in order to pull it into place. . I love them, they are rich looking, good weight and sturdy. The service was excellent.

I got three of these stools for use at my kitchen island. I love the mix of materials (the shiny silver rivets even match my stainless steel appliances)! The seats easily wipe clean of my kiddos’ play dough and snacks. Seats are textured so no one slips off. Assembly: the first one took about 30 minutes and then each one got easier. They are very sturdy. These stools get lots of compliments from guests.

Chairs look nice. They are comfy. BUT…. Assembly was a two person effort. Holes didn’t line up. One chair was scratched on the black metal. One chair is wobbly. For the money you would expect better quality. For goodness sake…. The holes could have at least lined up! Would definitely not recommend. It would be nice if the one chair would be replaced, if not both. I am not wasting my time taking them all apart and boxing them up and shipping them back. Would be nice if they would be replaced.
