My PS5 internal storage was filled. I have a 4TB external hard drive, but only PS4 games stored on the external drive are playable. While the external drive can store PS5 games, it is not playable until I move to internal storage. I just purchased the PSVR2 and anticipate purchasing more games. Switching games stored on external and moving to internal is a timely nuisance. This was purchased and it is the perfect solution. 1TB used to be a lot of storage. However the PS5 system software takes up a large chunk of them. If you prefer to have downloaded games, then you know all about the PS5 version of storage wars. The never ending swap out / swap in of games to keep enough storage space. Enter the M.2 SSD. Choose this Corsair model after finding that it was within the top 3 of most online PS5 M.2 SSD reviews. And compared to even 1 year ago, the 2TB version is at a very reasonable price point. The drive came with a small insert that brings you to a Corsair console installation site. Directions were spot on. I only needed to watch 1 separate video to be sure that I opened the PS5 covers correctly.
