The killer feature is the ease of setting up with only 1 person with me. All you do is get it spread apart a bit and push up on the center hub and it clicks into place. No locking each corner, it’s just that single clip in the center. I would say you do need 2 people to get it put up the first time, only because you need to attach the canopy the 1st time. ... show more

    • Vented, but NOT "wind resistant"...
Went camping, staked down on two sides and wind carried it off, first use. One of the poles bent so bad , could not straighten out to collapse. Had to break leg to collapse and return. I would just recommend using the weighted bags every time, and otherwise, its probably good. ? Just bummed we only got one use out of it. :( ... show more

We bought this AND the Coleman 13 by 13. The reviews are what sold us. As a few of the reviews suggest, yes, this model is, in many ways, superior to the more advertised name brand version. Side by side the Coleman "corners" or stitching seems sturdier, as in the "arms" won't give way or the material won't rip. We also prefer the vented cap of the Coleman to this model, although the design isn't necessarily better. The ease of the "push up and snap" central button makes this model far more superior to the Coleman's cumbersome and somewhat daunting set up. The design for the extension legs is slightly different, but both are effective and seem fairly sturdy. With a sudden gust of wind, if not secured, both fly up and away with equal force. As for the bag, each comes with attached wheels for easy transportation across level surfaces. The zipper design on the Coleman lends well to "ease of extraction" of the spider-like base but not for repacking. Whereas this model with its slide over and pull down is much simpler for repacking. Bottom line, we like them both but generally recommend this model when asked. The ease in set up makes this the winner. ... show more

    • All that we wanted in a canopy
We needed a canopy that had a vent for windy days and that is easy to assemble. This fit the bill and the extra awning is a plus. The canopy material seems sturdier than others we've seen.

    • Great pop up canopy
I was hesitant to buy this, and I'm glad that I did. It's incredibly easy to set up and take down and it's great for protection from light rain, sun, etc. I'm not sure that it would stand up to heavier rain, but I haven't tried. I like the push pin system which let's it be put up by 1 person.

    • Nice canopy - large and easy to set up/ take down
Had this canopy up on my deck most of the summer, about 3 months. It held up nicely and makes a lot of shade. The canopy really is 13x13 feet. We never had any real rain or wind this year so not sure how it would do in rougher conditions. We got the blue and black version and it looked great. I did notice when we packed it away that the colors had faded quite a bit on the top - the black was dark gray and the dark blue was almost purple on the side that got the most sun.
