It’s a beautiful looking glass-lidded pot. Thick enough bottom-good for making roux and gumbo. 5 qt is good for a smaller family. Big but not huge. Not non stick but will last better. Keep the heat lower if you are used to thin cheap pots. This distributes the heat and holds it.

This Stock pot is very useful for my cooking needs, is well made and very easy to clean. Other reviews speak of the inside staining but that is the nature of the material depending on what you cook in it. Most stains are very easy to remove though. The handles are nicely enclosed in silicone and do not get very warm. However, for safety, I do use mitts when lifting. I would prefer the handles be a bit more substantial, as in possibly thicker, but they are riveted very well and do not move. This is a personal preference though for my hand size. I am overall very pleased with this purchase and can recommend it to anyone needing a well made SS study pot, at a very reasonable price. ... show more
