The platform is a must for anyone with active boys. The flimsy ladder that came with the intex pool was super wobbly and dangerous. This ladder is much more sturdy and has a platform. The added ability to close access to the stairs when you don’t want the kids to go in was a huge bonus. We zip tied the ladder to the pool so we didn’t have to screw anything into the frame of the pool! Totally suggest doing this bc we can move the ladder around or cover the pool easily. The assembly of this ladder was very difficult in my opinion. I found a YouTube video that walked me through each step, which was the only way I could get through it! Overall I think this ladder transformed my intex pool from being fun to awesome as the kids can jump off the platform. Which I know they say not to do, but it’s super sturdy and with supervision, we have felt it safe enough to allow jumping. Obviously nothing head first but a few cannon balls and screwdrivers have made this a blast for the kids! Totally worth the money!!!

Ordered Dark Gray from spreetail throigh Amazon, they sent their Gray (Beige) version but SpreeTail as a seller just paid difference. Ladder was easy to assemble, took my son and I 20 mins. Once filled with water it became more sturdy, the ladder was not meant for Intex XTR Rectangular Pool, so we couldn’t use the braces but still sturdy enough. Our 9 year old son loves the ladder compared to the one that came with the pool. Great upgrade, a bit pricey but understand why.

What an improvement compared to Intex supplied ladders. This takes some time to assemble and having a heavy rubber mallet helps enormously. But although it is larger it is also safer to use. I appreciate its overall design and quality. Highly recommend!

This ladder was very easy to assemble. We love the safety lock feature as well as the slide down over the steps closing it off so that our grandchildren can’t get into pool. Highly recommend this ladder.
