So I’ve been using this daily for about two weeks now and I have no complaints. I’m using it in a 10x20 shed with minimal insulation and it takes this heater roughly 10 minutes to take the shed from 32 degrees to 65 degrees. It has plenty of power and pushes the heat from one side of the shed to the other. Only downfall is the heater is a little loud, not overly but definitely noticeable. I added this heater to my fully insulated garage (23' X 30') as it gets too cold here in Anacortes, WA in the winter to work in the garage. I had a 40 Amp circuit and wire run to where I wanted the heater, but the model on Amazon I had chosen was "out of stock"--and the latest reviews showed some safety issues, so may have been dropped. Anyway, selected this less expensive model and loved the idea of a remote control. Unit was easy to install (used 8 gauge wiring as recommended for the 3' run from the wall). Hung it right over the edge of my 16' work bench. Takes about one hour to heat the working end of my garage, and it's quite warm in that half. I can now work with no coat or vest and remain totally comfortable. Will extend my working season right through the winter. UPDATE: Two years of light use and the unit quit working. The E1 error code means the unit has quit working. Decided to use compressed air to blow out the unit, as there was lots of sawdust inside. Unit has worked fine since then. This review is for the 7500W model. I have an ~ 30' x 15' garage (2nd floor overhead). I ran a new 40A circuit, and mounted it on the ceiling. Cons: 1. The lag bolt provided is much too short to secure through drywall; while an inexpensive fix, it may require another trip to the hardware store. 2. The heater kept shutting off prematurely, and ambient temperature would keep rising (to 99 degrees). Per another review, it was required to swap the NTC and NTC1 connectors on the circuit board (one is for heating element temp, one is for ambient). Pros: 1. Once secured and swapped the temperature sensor connectors, it does a fabulous job taking the chill out of the garage. On low setting, it brought the temperature up from 40 to 68 in about 15 minutes. 2. The fan is quiet for this type of heater ... quieter than most box fans. 3. It's very convenient to have remote control. 4. By using single lag bolt and NM (or flexible conduit), can rotate the unit to focus heat where I need it. Overall, I am pleased with this unit, and would purchase it again. ... show more

Nice little heater for the money. I have a fully insulated 24x36 pole barn with 8ft ceilings, and it does a great job. I set the temperature on 65 degrees and it keeps the temp at 62 degrees even when the outside temperature is in the 30's. If you have the knowledge and are a DIY just follow the instructions concerning the wiring and breaker size. The heaters small size makes it easy to hang up out of the way. ... show more

To be quick, I love it! I am still kicking myself for not installing a garage heater sooner, wow, all those wasted winters especially for a garage tinkerer like me. I installed it in my 2-car insulated garage yesterday and right at this moment, the garage is a toasty 77 degrees-F. It is about 40 degrees outside right now, was colder earlier. It's pretty quiet too and throws heat more than I had imagined. This heater is well made and performs very well. I can't understand how even a few rate it poorly. I find if you follow directions and installation / location recommendations, you will achieve the claims stated. If you are on the fence, just do it. And it performs as it is noted, with decent controls. I also use my wall mounted oscillating fan at the opposite end of the garage to help more evenly distribute the hot air. I find I get no cold pockets using the wall fan, which more quickly distributes the warmth. I am thrilled with this product and highly recommend it.     • Heater broken and completely losing power, rude and unhelpful customer service.

Brand new heater was having an issue running for a few minutes and then completely shutting off for several minutes more. No error codes, no lights, no way to reset it except wait for the red light to return. This is a different symptom than most people here have experienced. Contacted the company and I was given the run around and a list of things to check. They said the fins needed to be straight or it would over heat the heater. Then why are the fins there? Why is that not mentioned in the manual? Why would the fins be there at all? They said the fan needed to be at its tilted position or it would over heat. I'm pretty sure it was designed to be used at all of the available positions and not over heat. Especially when my garage never reaches a temp above 40F. They wanted me to move a sensor for them so it would read better. If that's bee such a big problem why don't they redesign the heaters? If my issue was the same as the other reviewers this may have worked. They obviously did not understand how my issue was different. They wanted me to bring in a licensed electrician to check the wiring and overall circuit. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't run at all if the wiring was messed up. They vaguely asked for pictures of the wiring and their "Engineer" ridiculed the 5mm of exposed wiring at the lugs and the fact the ground wire at the terminal wasn't perfectly looped. Sure I fixed that and of course it made no difference. Nitpicking minor installation issues is not troubleshooting. Also, i'm pretty sure customer service is supposed filter responses from engineers who have no tact. Not with this company apparently. They were both rude and unhelpful. Their engineer never gave any troubleshooting advice. I don't think they have a true engineer with any field experience. I humored this interaction instead of immediately returning it because I usually like to fix things and give companies a chance to redeem their selves. I also enjoyed witnessing a third-rate company in action. If their upfront customer support is this bad I can only imagine how horrible their management is. After being in several different electrical based positions in the automation industry it was a laugh to have people act as if a customer wouldn't know anything. It's a surprisingly small world guys. I eventually gave up on them once it went from funny to sad. I returned it and got a different heater which of course works fine. I have to thank Amazon for their return policy. ... show more
