Just bought a new home in SoCal with a number of citrus tree's (orange, grapefruit, lemon and lime). With so much citrus fruit decided to invest in a good juicer. The Eurolux juicer works wonderfully. Simply cut the fruit in half place it on the reamer and lower the handle and apply simple pressure. Never had a juicer that extracts the quantity of juice as this juicer (full 12 oz glass with three oranges). Also collects all the pulp and seeds. Never knew fresh squeezed juice was so good. Have used it to create fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice, fresh squeezed lemonade and limeade. The juicing mechanism pops out easily and can be cleaned by simply rinsing with water. Yes the seal was broken, so what? When products go through any state checkpoint or customs the officials are going to check out what is being shipped and delivered, and to whom. Now onto this WONDERFUL machine! Once unboxed, the machine was inside of a baggy and tied off with a wire twisty, and the cord was bound by both a baggy and a wire twisty. All parts seemed to be A-OK, nothing broken and yes the handle is metallic. Most do not know this but the little black button at the top of the Eurolux Electric Citrus Juicer handle pops out/off. ( Just apply a little finger pressure and the top cup that holds the fruit in place, pops out for cleaning). Just have to look at all the description pictures. Once everything has been washed, dried and re-assembled, I plugged it in and away I went! it was that simple! Pros,,,,, 1) Easy to set up and break down 2) Easy to rinse or wash 3) Easy to work Cons,,,,,, 1) Is a bit cumbersome if you have shallow shelves. We just leave it out on the counter with a kitchen towel over it. 2) The pour spout should have a clip door on it or a tube with a clip door because if it has been left in the down position, will spill all the juice you have just squeezed. Suggestion for those persons listening or as reading as it were, this machine could really use a small clip door at the beginning of the chute or on the end of a poor tube, and or maybe replace the current one with a tube in lieu of the chute or at the bowl entrance to your chute. (Now that I’ve beat that into a corner giggles.) I’m sure you can figure it out! ... show more

Very easy to juice lemons and limes. I thought that the juicer had stopped working (was broken) after about 5 or so minutes of CONTINUOUS usage so I let it rest and hoped it would start again. It did! It must have a timer to avoid overheating. Keep this in mind and you will be thoroughly satisfied otherwise.     • Great purchase, but not the best
My husband and I decided to get a juicer ever since we came across a local breakfast joint that serves some really good orange juice, however the price was way up there for a glass. This was a great purchase since we now buy our own oranges and it has saved us a lot. It's easy to use and pretty easy to clean up as well. We use it mainly for oranges, but have also used it for lemons as well as grapefruit to give you an idea of the sizes of fruit it can accommodate. You can make one serving (all fruit, no water or sugar) with the use of 3, sometimes 4 oranges. I think the only downside to this is that it will overheat (not physically to the touch) to the point that it will stop working to take a break. That being said, you can make 2 servings before it stops working and takes that break. So if you're planning on making a nice family breakfast with freshly squeezed oranges, no more than 2 servings at a time, so you should plan ahead if you're trying to fill up an entire pitcher. ... show more

    • You don't really need the lever/handle.
This is a great juicer. It is not small, is not quiet, and making orange juice is still messy. But the juicer does make it go a little faster, and definitely takes less muscle. The first time that I used this appliance I used the lever/handle and tried to adjust the orange under it every time. The second time I just used the palm of my hand to hold the orange in place while the juicer did it's work ... mush faster! ... show more

I love this machine. I used to juice my citrus by hand, which worked ok, but I found I was avoiding it a lot. Once I tried this machine, I was amazed at how quick and simple it was to use. I no longer feel any hesitation when I want to juice an orange or lemon. It also gets more juice out than I was able to by hand. Cleanup was easy, so it doesn't make me hesitate to use it because of the clean up. I was also surprised that it was so quiet.
