I asked a friend how to pick a pressure cooker when I bought the stove top one. She said you can always cook less in a bigger pot but not more in a smaller pot. Following that same advice, I picked up the 8qt for our family of three. Pot says ceramic- it's actually stainless with a non-stick ceramic coating. Grabbed this when I saw it. Day 1: came home and someone else had made macaroni and cheese-- so good. Day 6: I needed some hardboiled eggs and I know that pressure cookers make them best. Used the 5 pressure, 5 release, 5 minutes in ice bath--- PERFECT hardboiled eggs that are easy to peel, not rubbery and no gray/green edges on the sides of the eggs. Day 11: Giant pot of Hambeen soup FROM DRIED BEANS in an hour- what?! Cook 40, quick release, threw in potatoes and tomatoes and simmered for another 20. Day 11 episode 2: Corned beef for reuben sandwiches. Perfectly cooked and ready to cool and be sliced up for sandwiches tomorrow. Cooked for 60 minutes, natural release for 20, finally quick released. Hoping I can swap out my rice cooker--- but haven't braved it yet. Can definitely give away the stove top pressure cooker and the crockpot. The manual that comes with this is sort of adequate. Here's what we figured out: Put your stuff in the pot, turn it on to whatever you want to cook, set the time you want to cook, tighten lid and check the valve to make sure it's closed/not venting, hit start. This is definitely an advantage to a stove pot pressure cooker, because I can just set it and forget it-- and come back when it beeps. I didn't want to give in and go all new fangled and it turns out I was so wrong. If you need to release the pressure manually, it can sputter blazing hot liquid-- take care if you're cooking stews or soups that need a quick release. If you have scaredy cats ( I do!) try not to have them in the room if you do a quick release-- or you may see your cat lose one of its 9 lives.

I have 2 intantpots and give them a regular workout. The newer of the 2 recently started throwing errors and locks up. I've tinkered with the the temp pots and get it to work, but unreliably. I decided to try this pressure cooker and was pleased to find it works as good or better than instanpot in some areas and slightly less in others. This pot is made well and I really like the larger capacity. It's as easy to use as the instantpot and in some ways offers additional flexibility such as temp control on saute setting. The liner pot has a Teflon like costing which some may like ... I do not! I'm unable to get meat to brown properly vs the stainless steel liner in the instantpot. There is also an initial smell on first use, but this resolves immediately after. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and think you will be too!

This is my fifth pressure cooker, and I must say it is great. We use these for everything, even making sauces that have to be stirred often; you can plug them in anywhere and keep stirring instead of standing over a hot stove. I like to bring mine in the living room when making cream sauces that require an hour + of constant attention. Also great if you're making something and don't want your house to be stinky. Just plug in outside or in the garage! Great variety of functions on this one, and it's nice and roomy. Five big stars!

This is an 8 quart multi-functional pressure cooker which can serve as the basic cooking unit for the home chef. This appliance is non-stick and appears to be easy to use and clean According to it's directions, it can be used in many cooking modes and can replace many individual cooking appliances. This piece is quite heavy, so it can work best if you give it adequate room to function. It's available in both 6 and 8 quart sizes with identical function except for the size of the pot. It allows setting up to cook at a preset time and can run automatically while the chef is away from the kitchen. The price for all this technology is reasonable and I think that this would make an ideal wedding or housewarming gift.

The media could not be loaded. This electric pressure cooker is very useful. My landlord used it once and said it was very useful. She asked me to buy her a discounted electric pressure cooker that can be timed and does not need to be supervised. However, I found that the cooking process of this product is a bit cumbersome. For example, you need to press the menu several times when cooking. If it is in the morning, if you keep pressing so frequently, there will be an electronic sound when pressing. I hope this product can change this function in the future, so that you can cook what you need by pressing once, without having to press it all the time.

I love these types of cookers. These are great for cooking one pot meals and cook them very fast. You just dump it all in and set it to pressure cook. Once done you have a meal ready to eat. There are other settings as well. For example it has a rice mode and saute mode. The quality of this cooker is really good. It’s made well and the controls are easy to understand. Our first meal was a Mexican chicken and rice dish. Just dumped everything in, chose pressure cook, set to high, and set the time and hit start. Once it’s up to pressure it starts the cook timer. The moisture catch cup fits on the back which I show in the one picture. I definitely recommend this cooker.

This 8 quart pressure cooker is ideal for families or anyone that cooks food in large batches. My previous cooker was 6 quarts, so the added capacity is definitely noticeable. With the wide range of programs, it is extremely versatile. In the past, I usually only trusted name brand appliances that you would find in big box stores, but I am finding there are definitely some gems out there that provide great value. This pressure cooker has proved to be a great buy so far as it is easy to operate and easy to clean and has all the functions you would expect.
