This cold smoker works really well and delivers excellent flavor. I used it to smoke some salmon, and the results were impressive—rich, clean, and exactly what I was hoping for. It’s a solid tool for anyone serious about enhancing their meats with deep, smoky taste. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of a minor issue with moisture buildup. I live in a very humid environment, and from time to time, moisture collects in the lines. When that happens, I have to blow through the system to get the smoke flowing again—otherwise, it starts to backfeed. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind depending on your climate. Overall, it’s a great product that does what it’s supposed to do. Just be aware of the moisture if you’re in a humid area.

These are still early days with this product. But after our first smoke, we are seriously impressed. We enjoyed some smoked salmon and used our Weber gas grill set on the lowest temperature, 200 F, for 3 1/2 hours. The results were stunning. It does take a few minutes to clean it up at the end of the cook, so be ready to spend a bit of time getting it all cleaned up for the next round. Good bye store bought smoked salmon. :-)

I bought this device specifically to cold smoke salmon. Assembly and setup were incredibly easy. Follow the instructions and get yourself the power adapter with required specifications. This little device outputs an incredible amount of smoke even when on the lowest possible setting, as I used it. Initially it smelled fantastic and worked really well. However, as the smoking time increased and the smoke smell started to change. I carried on with the cold smoke process to see it through. After just two hours, on the lowest setting, I had to refill the canister with cherry chips. After another two hours I had to refill again and smell was more like creosote and tar than cherry smoke. Finally after 6 hours I pulled the sockeye off the grill and was pleased with the look and texture but the fish itself smelled like the inside of a chimney. I gave it a shot and tried to overcome the unappettizing stench but the taste was just as bitter and gross. My three pounds of sockeye are now returned to the wild. I would not recommend nor endorse this for cold smoking sockeye. Cleaning it was not difficult and the tar chamber had very little accumulation so I don't know why the smoke smelled so awful. Hopefully I can return for a refund after it has been used.

Worked great for a month. Followed instructions to keep clean. But no smoke being produced. Checked all the tubes. Changed from pellets to chips. Still nothing. Last thing I did was just by chance, changed the power supply. That seemed to help...some smoke coming out but limited still...very odd. We will see. The seller was kind enough to offer a refund. That was above and beyond.

Absolute joy using this product for all my smoking needs, especially a cold smoke as the unique design cools down the warm smoke. They even include a smoking guide magnet with smoking and internal temps for various meats.

The smoke generator works well and does provide a good smoke flavor to your food, but it is a royal pain to clean. Cleaning is a challenge, as it needs to be disassembled and reassembled, and even then you can't thoroughly clean the inside of it because of all the threaded rivnuts the tubes have for securing the handle and the other fastened pieces. It does work great to add some smoke flavor to foods on a propane or electric grill, even to add a bit more smokey flavor to charcoal or pellet grills. It's pretty easy to operate, but not so easy to clean. The secondary catch/filter chamber is nice, as it does capture quite a bit of dirty smoke tar, keeping out of the grill and off of your food. It does what it's supposed to, but cleaning it could be better.
