Blended into hair so well
Color: 5 Medium Brown
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I used this Clairol product to color the back of my head and neck to cover gray. It so easy to use, just like painting the back of my head. I left it in for the 10 minutes as instructed. It colored well but next time, I may leave it for 15 minutes. I can’t say enough about how easy the applicator is to use. I simply pinned up the hair on top of my head and left exposed the hair I wanted to color. It makes me very happy to know that I do not need to depend on a hair dresser to color the back of my head. After I washed my hair, enough gray hairs showed through to make the color look very natural. Liked this product so well that I ordered two more just to have it available.

A perfect match to the same Clairol color -- in the ideal spray formula
Color: 5G Golden Brown
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I am 95% gray by the age of 52 so NOT dyeing is NOT an option! But to have a great spray-on root cover-up designed to 100% match whatever Clairol brand I buy is new and FANTASTIC! [Also, in case you haven't done the research, Clairol hands-down has the longest gray-covering color on the market, so if you are dyeing to cover gray hair, don't both buying any other product.] Knowing that, you can wait for sales; watch for them at your local pharmacy, everywhere! When I find a Clairol color on a great sale -- I pretty much clear out the ENTIRE SHELF OF THEM! I regularly can find the color for 50% off, or at least often enough to use up my LAST stash of huge purchasing! (Also, if you find them on the clearance rack because they are CLOSE to expiring, just like so many food products, the colors last much longer than the official "expiration date" does.) I haven't seen the spray on sale (except by being a CVS loyalty member and getting a $10/coupon for free each month + a host of other random coupons CVS texts me, which I can "send" to my loyalty card on my phone and then use at the checkout counter if I need root cover-up spray -- or simply to stock up on more.) But this exact match to Clairol's specific colors is new -- at least as far as I've seen in late summer 2023. I save it and use it only for times I'm officiating a wedding or otherwise need to look 100% polished and professional. Lastly, I've tried all the various root cover up applicator styles -- the powers, pens, lipstick-like applications, and different types of sprays. This is definitely the best I've tried so far. A spray, it doesn't leave my hair sticky and frozen (almost like hair spray) and it even lasts for several washes -- which I've NEVER seen in root coverups before! YaYa Clairol, especially for women who got the bad-luck-plucked-my-first-gray-hair-in-college women!

Easy to use, but...
Color: 4 Dark Brown
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)
The first time I used the hair color I followed the directions and the dark brown color barely covered the white hair around my temples, but in the product reviews people recommend leaving the color on longer, not rinsing and several other methods to make the color take and cover grays better. Not to be deterred I applied again and left it on longer, the color took, but now I still had to rinse. We are over 30 minutes now. The color tube can be closed and the remainder used for the next coloring. The color held up okay, so the next time I left it on the longer length of time and rinsed, the next morning my pillow case was stained. I have been coloring my hair for thirty years and that was a first. For me the extra processing time was the same for when I used the permanent root touch up and had the color lasts longer.

Color washes out
Color: 5 Medium Brown
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I love the easiness of the paintbrush type applicator. It makes the whole process so much quicker and accurate. The biggest problem I have is that it washes off the grays around my face super fast. Sometimes even when I’m rinsing it out. I’ve tried leaving it on longer…even going past the hairline onto my forehead to make sure I hit every area. I’ve tried rubbing it in, I’ve combed it thru with a thin comb to make sure every hair is covered. But even that isn’t always effective. I have started saving the brush to use with the permanent Clairol touch up because the brush that comes with that one is annoying to use. If they could combine the two it would be the perfect product! The way it is…not so much.

Love This Stuff
Color: 5 Medium Brown
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is the perfect solution when you need a quick touch up. I used it prior to our Cabo trip because I knew that the sun and water would bleach my hair out, even with a hat. Again, the perfect solution. So grateful to find it here and won't ever be without it again.

Easy to use, no harsh Chemicals!
Color: 8 Blonde
Size: 1.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I found this product when I was away from my home and needed to do a root touchup. I have blonde hair and had a regrowth with some white hair showing so I looked around and I found this Clairol product . I ordered it from Amazon they delivered it and I have used it a couple times since finding it . I like the way it’s easy to apply. it doesn’t really make a mess on anything you just have to be careful when you’re doing it to try not to get it on any surfaces. It is not a permanent hair color it washes out every time you wash your hair. you wait 4 days, and then it gradually washes out and then you need to reapply it . I like it because there’s no peroxide and no ammonia in it I have hair below my shoulders and I didn’t want to try anything permanent because it’s much stronger so I’m happy with this product and will probably keep using it as long as I can find it and it is available on the Amazon website.
