I just reordered again as the product is so long lasting, 4 months for me. It’s great to not have to mix developer, etc. The color is pretty and is not brassy. I have totally silver hair that is very resistant to coloring, but I get a nice lighter shade of the bottle that has natural highlights or lowlights, whatever you want to call them. The problem is that 2 out of 3 have arrived leaked, leaving not enough in the bottle. I was able to get a refund for it, but it’s really inconvenient when I need to color for an upcoming event. I ordered 2 weeks in advance the last time and it was leaked. The last two orders had “non leak” seals, but the last one had leaked anyway through the seal. They need to pad it more or box it. It’s manufactured in Mexico, but it’s probably from a warehouse distributor in the US. They just need to box it. Hope they get enough complaints and returns that they’ll take it seriously. I’m an online shopper, and I like Clairol products, been relying on them for decades, along with a few others, my gray is so resistant, and this particular product does it very well for me, so I’ll keep buying it even though I’m taking a chance every time on getting a usable bottle

This hair color works very well if you have just a few grey strands. It is not a permanent color. I would recommend getting 1 bottle of the color you think you like and try it. Generally speaking the darker the color, the better it covers the grey and the longer it lasts. I get 2 months but it also depends on how often you wash your hair. I only shampoo 2x per week because my hair is dry. I started with medium brown and worked up to rich dark brown which was a little too dark. The Chai brown is perfect for my dark brown hair.

I've been trying to get away from those products and this is the answer. I've been using it for about 3-4 months and I love it. I will admit to leaving it in for a few hours before washing it out, gives the color more staying power and oomph.

This is literally magic in a bottle!!! I had let my hair grow out without coloring it for 7 months (due to illness) and oh my the grey roots came out in full force! I was looking for something that was easy to use, non-damaging to my hair and would cover those yucky greys. Then this magic potion in a small bottle came and I was very skeptical thinking it wouldn't cover my full head of long, thick curly hair, but to my amazement it lathered up and I actually had more than enough with some leftover. It went on so easily and I didn't need to do the whole parting of hair to get the roots I just squeezed it on and it lathered up, rubbed it in all-over really good, left on for 20 minutes or so, rinsed out and my hair was BEAUTIFUL, SHINY & NO MORE GREYS!!! The product says semi-perm for up to 12 washes and mine has lasted just as long and more. The color is amazing and when I say this is a miracle in a bottle it truly is!!

My grandma has very fine, shoulder length hair. Her roots were growing out and she was growing depressed trying to find a product that would cover her grays and not thin her hair out more or damage it. I looked up recommendations on social media and came across videos of this product and purchased two bottles. One bottle was MORE than enough if you’re just covering roots. I only used one bottle on my grandma’s hair but someone with longer or thicker hair should consider at least two. She used a clarifying shampoo BEFORE applying the dye and let her hair dry. After rinsing it out, my grandma said her hair was shiny and her scalp didn’t feel dry after. The dye also didn’t stain my tub. Coverage was pretty great but I would concentrate more of the dye on the roots next time and apply a heat bonnet to set it in more.

Color: Advanced Gray Solutions 6n Toasted Hazelnut
I am reviewing Professional Clairol Advanced Gray Hair Solutions, after I first tried the moisturizing version with zero results (it is really designed for non-gray). I am 35-40% silver with fine virgin hair. As a former Cosmetologist, I have become highly sensitive to chemicals from years of exposure working in them. I typically cannot color my hair at all without some sort of negative reaction. I was a long time fan of Clairol's gentle Loving Care line before it was ultimately discontinued. I had been able to use it successfully for years without issue. If you want the short version, I am thrilled to report this product appears to be a fairly close comparable spinoff of Loving Care. Free of ammonia, peroxide, and other harsh chemicals and tints gray successfully. Just stop reading right here and get it!👍 I first tried the Toasted Hazelnut, the lightest color in this line. The goal being three-dimensional high and lowlights (I used a highlighting cap to achieve this). My existing natural dark, leaving some of my natural silver, and applying the toasted hazelnut color to coat the silver areas of choice. I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo, so the color would have the best possible chance to coat the hair shaft. I allowed the color to stay on a full 45 minutes, per other reviews. Also, remember my hair was completely resistant to the other color. I wanted it to work! Since this product uses O2 technology, allow air to reach your hair, rather than using the typical plastic cap. The Advanced Gray Solutions version is much thicker. The color is more condensed and resulted in a successful tinting of color on my grays. Expect tint. I also think this formula smells much more pleasant than the mousturizing version. Toasted Hazelnut for me is a pale caramel (see first photo). I will continue to play with other colors in this line. Darker colors may coat and hold somewhat better. (UPDATE!!) Since my original review, I started mixing Espresso Bean and Burgundy Brown. It is bomb! I absolutely love it (see second photo)! It's rich and natural and covers quite well. This has become my favorite combination, by far 😍 Overall, I am so happy to say the advanced gray version does a great job. I have zero issues using the product. I do not experience the usual dizziness, headache, irritated scalp, or throat that I normally experience with color. Hooray!! An option for very sensitive people. The scent is pleasant in my opinion (for color) and quite tolerable to my very sensitive nose and breathing. It rinses off of skin quite easily. Easy to apply using a standard plastic bowl, applicator brush, and latex gloves. No staining, or mess (just use an old towel). Product rinses from my hair quite easily (use cool water to retain color longer) with no offensive fragrance. My husband loves the light scent it initially leaves behind. I found that quite unusual and pleasant. I do wish the results lasted longer. I always notice a loss of color from one shampoo. I typically shampoo once/twice a week. It lasts through 4-5 shampoos total for me, still leaving a very light tint by that time. Therefore, I reapply every couple, to 3 weeks. This has truly been a game changer for me. An excellent hair color product for sensitive people in my honest and professional opinion 😊 Yes!! Thanks so very much, Clairol. Please don't stop making this one!!
