I love Clairol Nice 'n Easy - This is a beautiful color (110 / 6R Natural Light Auburn). I have been using Clairol's "Nice N' Easy" for years & years to color and/or highlight my hair and it's always turned out absolutely gorgeous. I have dark brown hair and I like to make it red/reddish-brown. This color 6R (Natural Light Auburn) and 6.5R (Light Radiant Auburn) are my two go-to's and favorites. You would never know that I had such dark brown hair. It almost looks black from afar so when I saw the red result I got from these I was so impressed. My hairdresser told me she wouldn't recommend this because I have really dark hair and it can damage the hair, come out brassy/orange....TOTALLY untrue. I did this in one easy step. I applied it all over, left it on for 45 minutes, since I have such a dark starting point, and when I washed & dried it I couldn't believe how natural it looked. There was NO brassy or orange tones whatsoever...just natural red hair and highlights. The three different tones of highlights they talk about on the box are definitely apparent when I look at my hair in the light or in the sun, it's so gorgeous. It looks like a professional salon job. Over the years they've also worked on the smell of the mixture. Obviously being what it is it'll never smell like benign tulips, but they've definitely toned it down a bit. I still obviously recommend you work with the bathroom door & window open! Only complaint I have is that the CC conditioner tube they include is so tiny! I have really long hair (about 2 feet of hair, it falls to about an inch above my navel) so the tube doesn't last long. The color truly does get preserved with that CC conditioner though...I can tell the difference because it looks so shiny and the red color really stands out. Once the CC conditioner is gone I definitely notice that my regular shampoo & conditioner dulls some of that shine. Highly recommend this product to anyone interested in natural, easy, gentle permanent color. I love it! ... show more

Have used this color for years. It is almost a perfect match for the color I was when I was a child. So easy to use. Love the price of this 3 pack. So much cheaper than buying it at the drugstore. And of course so much cheaper than doing it at a salon if you know how to do it right. I love how I look right after I do it my only wish is that it held the color longer. But I know that reds are hard to hold ... show more

I've been using this brand and color for over 20 years. The toner was a super dark brown instead of a light see through brown. It usually turns purple as it develops and this just stayed dark brown almost black. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there are supposed to be little seals under the cap but there were none. The developer was full of clear lumps, almost like tapioca pudding. It wouldn't squeeze through the tip of the bottle so i had to just pour it into my hand and rub it in like shampoo. It was a huge mess and barely deposited any color. It definitely isn't the light auburn it's supposed to be. It did zero lifting on my dark brown hair. It just kind of left a little redish tint. It seems like it was suuuuuper old and expired. It was weird since it seemed like I was buying directly from Clairol. ... show more

    • All Good Except the Smell

Arrived on time and packaged exactly as displayed. I ordered 2 packages of 3 because I have hair to my waist and requires at least 2 bottles. I am 46 years old and have been coloring my grey for 16 years. I color every 4 weeks. I have thick, curly, medium auburn hair. The application wasn't easy due to the length of my hair, but I was able to do it on my own. I have been using Garnier color for the past 2 years, so the smell of this product was something I wasn't expecting. My eyes watered non-stop and I had to sit outside to catch my breath. 10 minutes into application, my roots turned bright orange but I left it on. The color is true to the box. It is a beautiful red. The coverage was even all the way down to the ends, I am very happy with my purchase. I would have given it 5 stars if the smell wasn't so horrible. Will order again. ... show more

This is the longest lasting red hair color I have ever found as reds usually fade quickly. It also did an excellent job of covering greys. It was easy to apply. I will continue to use Nice ‘N Easy because after over 45 years of coloring my hair it is definitely the longest lasting I have ever used.

I have tried for many years to find the perfect golden blonde color. My natural hair is a dark ash blonde, but with red undertones. Basically, my hair is a very odd combination of colors, which only got stranger once I began growing some greys last fall. Every other blonde color I have tried, including neutrals and cools, have only made my hair look strawberry blonde. I finally tried this in the "Extra Light Neutral Blonde" and I love it! The warm undertones in my hair give the neutral blonde that shiny golden color that I have been trying to get for ages! I will be dying my hair red for a convention in a few months, and I'm ordering an extra pack of this and am hoping to get similar red-neutralizing results when I'm ready to go blonde again. :D ... show more
