Not the same hair dye, so disappointed in this new formula. Why mess with a good product? Hair used to feel silky smooth & light after coloring, now it feels sticky & heavy. And it smells gross. My hair was so full of sticky, nasty build-up after rinsing it for 20 minutes that it set off my smoke detector when I blow-dryed it. This has never happened before. I have used this same color and brand for over 10 years. Then Clairol changed their formula and it dyes my skin too for days. I have to wear a hat for a couple of days after dying my hair because it is embarrassing. Unfortunately I can't keep it up. Nice n Easy use to be better than all the other brands for covering my grays, but this is too much. I'll be trying new brands unless they change their formula back or to something better. ... show more

Just a warning, this is NOT the original Nice and Easy. I purchased it because I thought that it was the original one. The new product goes on as a white cream, so if any of it drips, the stain will show up later. It also does not put the beautiful highlights that the original product did.

UPDATE: This product as shown is still amazing BUT the last two times I attempted to purchase 6.5G, I received the semi-permanent Natural Instincts brand of hair dye in error. I thought it was a one-time slip (as did customer service), but it appears that all Natural Instincts 6.5G are mislabeled as this product. Avoid purchasing this shade from Amazon! Somehow adding this dye to my mousy auburn hair and gray hair makes it amazing and very naturally red-looking, so I'm basically buying this for as long as I have hair. ... show more

Been using this color/product for 10 years. I am of Native American descent, and I have mostly very dark brown hair, and this color is a great match. I really love the conditioner they include as well: I have short hair, so just a pearl drop is all it takes, and the tube lasts for many months. I am 68 years old, and I'm often told I look 15-20 years younger, and that my hair looks natural. This product makes my hair so shiny. There's never a dull mat look, but my own hair is naturally shiny and fine, so this helps too. As I've gotten older, I have to do my roots once a month because I'm getting more grey, but this product always covers it. Clairol Nice n Easy is a great value. ... show more

I would have given it a 5 but this dye is very difficult to remove from your face like around the edges of your hair line. It will wear off after about 1 day. Does anyone have suggestions? It does do the job well as far as covering the gray. I do like the color and it doesn't fade. I was using another brand recently but I think this one does a better job. ... show more
