I bought this set to replace an aging set of Calphalon hard anodized cookware. Our old set did not have the non-stick coating, and I know how hard it was to clean sometimes, so I was interested in seeing what was new in that arena. I read up on the Circulon and was impressed with what I saw, (you can use metal utensils, dishwasher safe, etc.) I've been buying off Amazon for several years now, and I've never once been unhappy with their service, so when I saw an amazing deal on this set of cookware, I thought I would give it a try. We have a glass-top electric range. My first impressions were that the pots and pans were much thinner than our old set, and I noticed the stainless steel clad bottoms right away. I also thought the set looked so much nicer than our old set. Overall, happy so far. I believe the first thing we cooked were scrambled eggs, and two things came up here: 1. We can use lower heat than we used to, and 2. NOTHING seems to stick to these pans! VERY happy with the unscientific "scrambled eggs" test. When we washed that pan, we only had to rinse it with the sprayer to get everything to slide out of the pan, no scrubbing needed at all. In fact, these pans are so easy to clean, we don't even bother to put them in the dishwasher, EVERYTHING so far has simply wiped off. One thing I do recommend is to dry them after washing, especially if you have hard water. They spot easily, but if you dry them, they look brand new every time. Because these pots and pans look so nice, we've also resisted the urge to use metal utensils on them just in case - we still have all our nylon utensils from our old set, so we continue to use those. We were so impressed with the looks, we purchased a pot rack / light to hang them from over our kitchen island. And yes, the handles don't have holes that go all the way through (which would have been a little nicer), but they do hang on a hook just fine. After using them for a few months now, we've been very happy. In fact, we bought the larger skillet for those "one skillet" meals for our 5 person family. We continue to notice that we can use lower heat than we used to with our calphalon set, and the non-stick coating has not shown any wear whatsoever. And you only have to boil water to see that they heat very evenly - bubbles come from all over the bottom of the pan, not just certain areas. The lids fit well and being able to see through them is a huge plus, something we couldn't do with our old set. We are very happy with this set and would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone. I did a lot of research on the web, and came to the conclusion that this was probably the best set of pots and pans for the price. I was looking for non-stick pots and pans which were not coated with Teflon, and did not emit any noxious particles, and my research on the web led me to this brand and type of product as being non-stick and safe for cooking. First of all, I never have to scrape and scrape and scrape to remove crust that has burned on the surface of the pot or pan from excessive heat (such as when I put a pot or pan on the stove with the heat on and forget to fill it, or when the food I cook has been left on the burner too long and has burned to a crisp). Now when this happens, when I clean the pot or pan there is no build up of crust, and or whenever there is, it easily slides off the pot the pot or pan with a scraper or soft pad. This particular set comes with just the right sizes of pots and pans, and with clear glass lids. This set replaces an old set of heavy stainless steel pots and pans that I purchased many years ago for approximately $800, which I was constantly having to scrape the surface of with plenty of elbow grease when the food on them burned. I had a set of Circulon cookware I purchased approximately 20-25 years ago and felt I needed to upgrade. I looked at several reviews printed in a couple of publications (i.e., Good Housekeeping) and all the reviews I read indicated Circulon Symmetry was the best for a variety of reasons - total food release, dishwasher safe, PFOA and PTFE free, oven safe. I have only used a couple of the pots and quite honestly, I don't need all those pots but it was a better price to get a set versus individual pieces (sadly, the price dropped about $30 since I ordered it a month ago). I am very pleased with the few pieces I've used. The stockpot is taller than my previous one and I kind of like that when cooking lasagna noodles. The other 2 pots I've used is the small sauce pan and small skillet. I've cooked scrambled eggs in the skillet and clean-up is a breeze with using just a sponge. Initially I wasn't crazy about the glass lids - fear of breakage - but since I've used them I like them a lot. It's nice to be able to see what's cooking without lifting the lid. The handles have a nice feel to them and using a potholder probably isn't necessary, but I use one anyway for safety's sake. I'm currently cooking on a gas stove and the flat bottoms, which are very attractive, make me want to get a new flat top stove. I'm certain I made the right choice (although I wish I had known the price was going to drop) and that I'll get as many years out of this set than I got out of the previous one. ... show more

We purchased a new electric stove that required us to purchase these special hard anodized pans. I had a set of 22-year-old Circulon pans that were still in excellent condition. From wha I hve seen so far these new pans will just as long. Well worth it.

    • No response from manufacturer re cover seals failing
Am very disappointed in this product and the manufacturer. Purchased product in November 2021, and shortly after the seals of the covers failed allowing moisture within the cover. Not only is this disturbing but because you cannot possibly dry the product properly you could be creating bacteria, however, this I have not proven. It has been a month since I submitted my concern to Circulon and although they say they are 2-4 weeks in response, they haven't yet responded. Seems quite a long time to respond to an issue. Also, now we see on the pan itself on the top, that the pan itself is losing it's color or coating. We do not put any of these products in the washing machine and dry them immediately after hand washing. I am not one to write reviews but am not happy with their support. ... show more
