Important note: it appears that I'll be the first person to review this who didn't get it for free. I received this unit yesterday, and assembled it on my own in about an hour. The quality of the materials is good, better than I expected for the price - even the plastic is nice. Onto the handlebar: the handle bar assembly. This was a real pain for be because the foam on the handle bars got in the way of the plastic cover that goes over the clamp the holds the bar in place. This resulted in the plastic cover cutting into the foam and chewing it up a bit. This is more of a cosmetic problem, but still could have been avoided if the extra foam was cut correctly to length. The biggest problem with the handle bar is actually the clamping mechanism that holds it into place: a two metal pieces held together with a small metal pin, tightened shut around the handle bar with a screw. This is the biggest design flaw I can see with this bike because someone could easily over tighten the screw, or overtime, it could break from bearing the weight of someone leaning into the handlebars. Other than the issue with the handlebars, everything else seems good so far. What I'm most impressed with is the variety of modes and resistance settings this has for the price, which the main reason I chose this bike. I noticed a reviewer said that they were having issues with the seat slipping - it might be the knob below the seat may not be tightened all the way? My only small complaint with the seat is that it's uncomfortable, but that can be remedied easily with a cushion, or even a better bike seat. I'll update my post later on if I find any other flaws. ... show more

    • Unusable after 4 months
This bike was great while it worked. I ordered this bike in early march, and after about a week, the bike started to develop a grinding feeling, especially when i first started a work out. The pedals didnt move quite right, but it was still functional. I tried contacting customer support, but never heard back. Well now last week during a workout, the pedals completely locked up for a few seconds, and then completely lost all resistance. I tried adjusting with the settings to increasing the resistance, but its basically free pedaling now. My guess is that there is an issue with the belt, because I smelled burning rubber and there was a small pile of what i can only assume was torn up belt outside of a seam of the base. I will be attempting to contact customer support again, but until I have answers, I have to give this product one star. I have had this bike for less than 6 months and only used it 2 or 3 times a week, very disappointing. Updated from 1 start to 4: After contacting customer support directly (not through Amazon) they kindly sent me a whole new base for free. So after some re-assembly, the bike was back up and running. I have had no problems so far, and continue to use it moderately 2-3 days a week. I enjoy the different resistance modes and preset options. The seat is a bit uncomfortable but still works for a good 30 minute ride. ... show more

Has anyone been able to contact their customer service? I called the number in the manual: 800-999-8899. The bike pedals won’t move and grinds. I have never been able to use the bike yet because of this. They emailed me from my previous review and said I had to take apart the base and see if the band came loose for the pedals. I didn’t even have to install the base in the first place and I took it all apart and the band looks fine. I am trying to get either a replacement base or have a maintenance tech come and fix it. ... show more

    • Over all a really good bike that gives you a good workout.
Over all I love this bike. It’s very sturdy and the seat is nice. Quite comfortable. The resistance is easy to manipulate with on screen control. I’ve never been a huge fan of the knobs. I get a great workout. It’s also easier to move than my old one that had no wheels. The wheels on the front are a bit awkward, though since most of the weight is in the back. The display is easy to read, and I feel like the speed, RPMs, resistance, etc. is pretty accurate, but the pulse reader is horrible. It claims my heart rate never goes beyond 76 BPM. That does not match at all to my chest band or smart watch. Similarly, I’m pretty sure the calorie counter is pretty far off. It’s count is always considerably higher than any other measuring device I use or than the counts I got for similar workouts on my old bike. I don’t find either of these things very disturbing since I have other ways to measure those items, but it is a little disappointing. It did take a bit of time to assemble, but the instructions were clear and assembly wasn’t difficult. ... show more

I’m a 26 year old female and I put this this bike together all by myself. All together I’d say, it took me about an hour to fully put together. But that’s me, making sure everything is perfect and I wasn’t rushing at all! I was skeptical and had a hard time picking out a bike due to peoples mixed reviews. I finally decided to just go with this bike and it’s awesome, I’m so so happy I picked this one out. This particular bike is so quiet... I was shocked!! I also love the LED screen and buttons. I love this exercise bike, it definitely does the job! I’m so excited to work out more with it and learn more about it as I go. But so far, so good!! ... show more

    • Bike broke withinweek
At first the bike worked perfectly, but.within a week pedals locked ip and machine startedmaking lots of noises. Called customer service and they sent me new base part. Bike is working now. Stay tuned for updates

Purchased for a physical therapy office. This bike was easy to put together and of much better quality than other more expensive bikes that we have. Great inexpensive option for post surgical hip rehab.
