Works great. I like that the net continues to the side. I often use without extending the handle to get to the coop with the lower roof space. I like the tines of the rack to dig into the sand after it's been compacted by chickens running around or rain. The spaces are big enough to not capture clumps of sand, small enough to capture sticks, rinds of food the girls didn't eat, their poop, etc. I think if they were closer together, as much as I would like to to clean up after the girls, it might capture too much clumps of sand as well. ... show more

The gaps are too big so that the smaller pieces of chicken poop slip through. I had to attach pieces of 1/4" hardware cloth to make the scooper usable.

    • As good as its likely to get for my needs
I am shocked at the quality of this manure rake! I use it for the grassy portion of my chicken run - picking up their manure in grass is such a pain. This isn't perfect, but I don't think there IS a perfect tool for that use. This is comfortable to handle, has a good weight, and I love that I can add or remove pieces to adjust the length. ... show more
