This is a well made product. It works for what it's intended for, gathers larger chicken droppings. It is lightweight and came in a compact shipping box. I like that it has a handle in the center, as it helps with balance and arm fatigue.     • Didn’t work for me, but well built.
I had high hopes for this product. It is well built, high quality. Good materials and the handle is great. However the issue makes it unusable. The bars are too far apart. Meaning the chicken poop just falls through. This makes it unusable for the intended purpose. I had to find the right size stainless steel mesh (5?). Which was a huge pain to cut, bend and zip tie to the top of the scoop and sides. With this modification it works perfectly. The only reason I went to this length to make it work. Is because it’s a great, well built product. The mesh I got was weaved and fell apart when cutting to size. I first tried screen window material. This was too fine and took too much time and threw away lots of sand. ... show more

    • Best turd picker-upper I've ever used.
We have chickens that think they are cows. For the size of the poo they leave behind you'd think they are having a turd contest on who can blow out their blow hole! My lovely bride is a city girl and she has wielded this monster of a tool and has collected plenty of bird apples for the compost pile. It came in a timely fashion and was easy to put together. Unless I start raising pterodactyl's this is sturdy enough to buy once in a lifetime. ... show more

    • Not good for sand!!!
The media could not be loaded. This scoop is not worth the trouble if you have sand in your chicken run. I will show in the video that the threads will never get tight, the male threads are not molded nearly deep enough to catch the female threads… thus making this scoop very difficult to use. The basket also has a flaw on the side, it has an 3/4” gap and allows the chicken poop to escape. The basket itself has1/4” slots and the main side has 1/2” slots. The scoop basket also does not catch all of the smaller poop pieces and just won’t pick it up with the 1/4” slots. This is exactly what you DONT want in a chicken run scoop. So with the handle not threading and allowed to continuously twist and never getting tight, the basket that won’t hold what scooped poop it will get and not getting the smaller pieces of poo, this scoop isn’t worth getting if you have sand in your run. ... show more

Works amazing in my goat barn! Finally something that can scoop goat poop! Also use it in my dog run that is small gravel. Little rocks go through and poop comes out! Love it!
