    • Nice pooper scooper, needs smaller holes.
This rake is sturdy and I love the size of it. The handle is adjustable for your comfort and height. I use it to sift chicken poop out of hemp and peat moss. The only thing I don’t like about it, and others have mentioned this too, is that the side slats/wires are more open than the other holes and a lot of poop is small enough and just drops through. I have duct taped up the sides but I kind of wish the rest of the slats were slightly smaller too. If you have little birds like bantams, this rake will not work as well for you. ... show more

This is a well made product. It works for what it's intended for, gathers larger chicken droppings. It is lightweight and came in a compact shipping box. I like that it has a handle in the center, as it helps with balance and arm fatigue.     • The handle is worthless without modification
I have mini ponies, one of them poops really small that slips through a traditional sawdust poop rake so I found this which has 1/4" spacing between the tines; it's made for chickens. It's perfect except that the threaded rods won't stay together. Getting another one won't fix the problem because it's a design issue. I'm keeping it though because I will epoxy the 3 sections together and then it will be useful. ... show more

I really wanted this to work! But most of the rabbit poop and the poop from the small chickens falls right through :-( It is a very sturdy rake and works well in sand, but not for what I need it to clean up.

I recently switched to more of a deep litter method for my coop and run and am using wood pellets that then dissolve into sawdust with moisture. This is big enough to sift a good amount at a time without losing the good, rich bedding I want to stay in there. It’s like a giant cat litter scoop.
