Not very durable, but that would cost a lot more than this one. It takes some time to put together, though. It took me about 8hrs (as an old guy, all by myself). Still, good value for the money. If you're looking for durability, you'll need to build your own, or hire a handyman to do it for you.

Product came with box damaged, pulled everything out to make sure it was ok only to find that the nesting box, which was actually safely placed in the center of all the other parts and wrapped well, was broken with the aluminum or whatever metal dented in multiple spots and the metal popping in and out of the frame. I promptly called Amazon on the first 12 hours, where they directed me to the third party seller via Amazon messages. I’ve recieved very little communication and explained the urgency with this product and need for updates as everything goes along. It has now been 4 days with no responses so I have had to dispute the product with my bank as it is just a piece of wood sitting in my yard at this point. The directions are also janky and really do kinda suck. Placement of a lot of the screw holes were off as well, making the waterproof areas a lot less useful. Please use caution if buying this product and keep in mind it is pretty cheap material, I kinda regret not just building my own or buying one in a store

The media could not be loaded. The coop is what you pay for. My husband put it together by himself. He did not follow instructions, rather found a video on YouTube on how to assemble it and that helped, A LOT. Instructions aren’t that good. The coop is not big, but works fine for our 3 hens as we plan on building a chicken run around it. The wire isn’t stapled well to the wood, so I would advise to add staples to it to secure it better.

It is a “get what you pay for” item, so I didn’t go into this purchase expecting something that would house 300 chickens & last me for 10 years. It was easy to put together. I had no issue with any of the predrilled holes like I read about before I decided to purchase the coop. It looks really cute, and my 9 two-month-old chickens have been enjoying it for a while now. It was only meant to be a temporary coop for them while we build the other coop ourselves, and it is perfect for that. (I will probably use it later to keep one of my roos in if he is being pesky, or as place for a hen that just needs a break from the others.) My only issue was that the pull out tray needed to be significantly sanded down to fit in the slot, and I still have difficulty with it, but I might try some candle-wax or something to see if that helps. Pretty happy with the purchase. I would recommend.

This coop was easy to assemble and had clear instructions. Will it fit more than 3 full grown chickens, yes, but it'll be a tight fit. Better as a chick coop. Wood material is extremely soft which allows for the lightweight aspect, but it also makes it less durable. Will want to add stronger mesh if you live in a more rural area as any larger creature such as a raccoon or fox could easily push a hole into a corner with just a little effort. Top is heavy enough it won't blow away or be pushed off easily, but the center piece holding it together is very flimsy and I see falling apart very quickly if we remove repeatedly for cleaning, feeding, or retrieving chickens. Directions had a hand written edit on screws needed but then the additional screws were not provided for this edit. No extra screws provided for any section, sent exactly what was listed so take care not to lose or misplace any. Suggest nailing the collection box floor down and filling gaps with expanding foam.

This is perfect for 2 hens. I would not have more than that in it. The roost will only fit 2. We added a little dog pen and attached it to outside to create a larger “open” area for them to roam. The coop is small and they do get bored and start to dig holes and pace at gate. So creating a small outdoor area helped.

If you read the description as to size and materials you won’t be disappointed in what you get. These little coops are perfect for my two pairs of hens. I will go over them with waterproofing and we’ll put tin over the roof and nesting box. Then when the hens get used to being beside each other we are going to hook them together and open the runs and have a wider run for them all. I like that they are coming out with extensions to make the runs longer also. They just need to make them all universal size and make it more clear as to which extension fits with which coop. All in all these are great for the growing population of city chicken farmers.
