This grill really doesn't smoke. I was skeptical when we ordered it, but we just finished using it for Korean BBQ and it worked perfectly even though we were grilling pork in a sweetened marinade that would have loved to catch fire. The secret is two fold: the water tray stops food that drops below the grill from drying out and eventually flaming up and the grate actually has channels in it for the heating element protecting the element from food dripping on it. The result? Deliciously grilled food without smoke. My only quibble, and this is definitely a minor issue, is that the grill's cord is permanently attached which means you are worrying about the cord when you are transporting it around the kitchen. We put a baking sheet with a lip under the grill while using it to prevent any spills while carrying it, which worked out really well. For Korean BBQ, the grill is plenty big for two people, would likely work for four or five. I can't comment on things like hamburgers, because we havent done that yet. If you live in an apt or condo this is a great alternative to having an outdoor grille. It's easy to use and the size is small enough to store but big enough to cook for at least 4 people at a time. It's a bit of a challenge to clean, if I was the dish doer in the house it may not have received 5-stars. ... show more

This was easy to wash and set up for my first use. I did 4 burgers and 5 brats. They turned out great! It was shocking to see how much fat and grease accumulated in the drip pan. After draining, I wiped it down prior to putting in the dishwasher. I think this will be used weekly.

Just got my grill and I heated it up as you need to do for new products. I must say it heats up in about 2 min that's ok for me and this grill got very hot on medium so I'm very satisfied with my new grill. you must follow instructions for not having a lot of smoke coming from your grill.

Lovely large grill, easy cleanup. Returned it because it never really seared a steak. This was the only reason I sent it back. If you just want to grill hot dogs, etc. it would be perfect for a groupgathering.
