You get what you pay for. I ordered two of these fans for my kids rooms, the light and remote works fine as it should however the fan does nothing for the room in terms of circulating air to cool the room down or even provide a breeze. It does spin and is as quiet as a fan can be but there is no function to switch where the air blows up or down and my two fans are blowing up because you cannot feel the air at all, at this point it’s just a light and a white noise machine. I would not recommend this product and my one star is simply for the light and the remote. ... show more

    • Works - but IMHO = Not worth the effort - cheap bracketry - assembly required. Will not buy again.

This is the second ceiling fan / light of this type that I have installed personally. The first one was very light, installed very easily, and included metal brackets to connect to the electrical box - and it came fully assembled - all I had to do was install to the ceiling. *THIS* fan required me to assemble the fan blades and to install brackets to hold the unfolded light strips. Difficult assembly? NO - but it still took a several minutes the other one didn't. The bracket to hold the fan to the electrical box is PLASTIC. There is no ground wire. There is a cable to hang the fan during assembly ... but no obvious tab or lug to attach the cable to - and even if there was, it would be plastic. Does the light work? Yes. Is it a nice, quiet fan? Yes. Does it provide good airflow? Yes. Was this experience a good one? NO. Was the $10 bucks I saved worth it? NO (because I spent at least 10 minutes dealing with assembly and install MORE than the other fan/light I have installed ... time is money). Unless you are really strapped for cash and don't mind spending time to assemble, I'd look at other fans. ... show more
