Wouldn't say it's easy to assemble. Another set of hands would have helped this 76 year old lady but I got it done. I followed instructions to the letter, referring constantly to pics and text. Had seen comments that shelf shouldn't be over the wheels but I didn't dare try to get creative since the instructions were just barely there. Now that it's done and I find that the cover for this unit is backwards (logo faces to the back), there may be some credence to the backwards thing. If I get a sudden burst of energy and have nothing else to do, I might consider just unbolting the barrel and turning it around, though getting that sucker on the legs was by far the biggest and most frustrating challenge. It's also the heaviest piece and with the shelf attached may be too much. We'll see. In the meantime am in the process of seasoning and hope to fix Mother's Day dinner on it. Just thought of another reason to have shelf on right side......I'm right handed; perhaps the instructions were written by a southpaw! Just a thought. ... show more

The only reason I give a 4 is because I have another brand I still like better. I didn't think it would be the case. This one is quite small but I knew it would be. The quality is top notch and I believe it will out last my lifetime with normal and proper care.

    • Great little grill
This is our 3rd! We gave one to our daughter snd brought one to camp. Best bang for the buck and the environment. Small cooking area heats up fast for small meals but easy access to briquettes allows continual loading for big meals, smoking or slow cooking. We love it!

    • Nice little smoker but it's difficult to create a cool side because it is so small.
I overcome this by searing, wrapping and moving away from the coals, as far as possible.

Its a good lil grill. Handles high heat well the paint didnt peel and i was grillin at 550, I installed my own thermometer. The only bad thing is the grates it came with, I bought a few grills and none of the grates ever came grainy. I had to buy a new set because i didnt feel comfortable cooking my food on metal that comes off as i rubbed it. Only reason it got 4 stars. The grates on the left are the new ones i bought ... show more
