I purchased this with the plug-in mount kit, and the installation was easy. The set up from the app was easy. And so far the images and the live streaming and capturing is really good. The birds eye is something you will have to get use to, but it’s pretty useful. My only small complaint is I wish the lights had more options. What I mean is when did detect a certain motion or when it detect someone coming closer to your home? That’s when the light triggers and not just from your area within the motion zones. ... show more

I’m not sure I needed the Birds Eye view but maybe I’ll realize it’s useful one day. I love all the other features though, especially being able to set a schedule for the light. I have mine set for dusk to dawn and you can set the brightness. It is supposedly refurbished but looked brand new. Ordered five (5) used floodlights (wired pro) for $150 ea. Installation was same as a new unit and packaging same as new - included all new hardware and paperwork. Three out of five units had never been wired up. The finish on all 5 units was flawless.

Don’t waste your time trying to save a couple of dollars. My item arrived it looked brand new so I installed it. When I went to try to set it up by scanning the QR code it tells me that it’s currently linked to another ring account and that nothing can be done until that person signs into their ring account and removes it from their account. I then called ring they told me to contact Amazon because I had bought it from Amazon. Amazon then try to tell me to contact ring. But then I told them they had already sent me here because I purchased through Amazon a “third party seller” after getting transferred around amazon they said I would have to wait 14 days for the previous owner to remove this flood light from their account. If the person doesn’t remove it sooner then only after 14 days will it be automatically removed from their ring account and let the new owner (me) activate it. Until then I have a useless light that won’t even stay on for longer than 30 seconds because it can’t be activated. I will be returning and buying a new one locally. Only good thing I can say so far is that the lights are really bright being on only for 30 seconds 😭. The customer service person also told me that just because they have a description saying this certified refurbished product was tested and data wiped by Amazon doesn’t mean it actually was. He said there is no one in the warehouses who actually is testing and wiping these products…. Had I known this I would not have wasted my time trying to save a few dollars. Hopefully my experience helps others be better informed about what they are purchasing and what the process may look like. ... show more
