Nice little chiminea that has a bonus cooking surface. It's a bit smaller and the metal is a bit thinner than expected, but this should last at least a few seasons. It was packed terribly but somehow arrived with only one small dent. It should go together super easy as long as the predrilled holes line up correctly. This was one of the easiest projects that I have done by myself. It said it will take around 30 minutes to put together… not even close. The longest time that you will spend is opening the box and unwrapping the parts. Very easy instructions, no tools needed. Box was a little broken and there were some small dents on the metal but, nothing that will damage the function if the fire pit. Very nice size and looks pretty cool. Liked the size, weight, function, and look. I’d give the assembly instructions a “B” and would recommend assemble stove loosely before committing to a finished product. You may have to take it apart to reassemble if you don’t. Be careful with the side grates when handling, they may puncture you if not properly handled. ... show more

    • Not precision engineering but I love it!

First off: I love it! We had a new patio built last year and I wanted a special area for evenings. I did a lot of research (thank you people who write Amazon reviews!) and settled on this one. It arrived well packaged. It’s not precision engineering—one of the fire body uprights didn’t fit, so I had to hammer it in; and one of the the chimney baffle welds had failed. But it’s an outside fireplace and I wasn’t worried about it being 100% perfect. It is very solid nonetheless. I listened to other reviewers and sprayed it with Rustoleoum high heat spray paint. I also got a rain cover. As you can see, it’s just beautiful. It gives out a lot of heat and most of the smoke goes up the chimney (unless it was windy, I guess). I love that I can see through its body, which means I can still see the forest through it from the house in the day. I took off a star for the defects, but, to be fair, I didn’t even contact the manufacturer about that. I just adore it. Sitting in front of it with a glass of wine, listening to the frogs as I write! ... show more
