Very easy to install (this girl did it by herself with an almost dead drill!) app is easy to use, and it comes with a neighborhood chat. picture is great, motion detection isn't the greatest but that's okay. I like that visitors can contact you directly by pressing the button, and you have a backlog of videos that you can save directly to your phone. I have 3 Alexa in my house, and they notify me when someone's at the door and I'm not looking at my phone. Battery life is great, lasted me almost 3 months, from mid August to November 5th (it notified me the battery was low at 30%, so it probably could've gone longer). I also haven't had an issue with it connecting to Wi-Fi, though it's not far from the router. I used to have a Night Owl outdoor camera system, and Ring is so much easier with much better camera quality and motion sensing. I'm so glad I switched! It's definitely worth the peace of mind, now I just need one for the back door!

this is an app driven device, but the app is easy to use. I hate most apps, but this one was easy to install and is pretty basic as to how it functions. plus, you don't need a subscription if you don't want one. the subscription comes free for some amount of days that I can't remember. the subscription has a lot of storage capacity being that it is cloud based. without it, you cannot see videos captured by the device unless you happen to see them as they are occurring. as for the device itself, the lens captures a wide viewing range and provides a bright picture on the app. the app is compatible with a variety of different operating systems. the device is easy to install and remove to charge the battery. it feels heavy when holding it, so I have no doubt that it's a very durable product.

I’ve been using the Ring Doorbell Camera for a few months now, and it’s been a total game changer for home security and convenience. The setup was super easy — I had it installed and connected to Wi-Fi within 15 minutes. The video quality is clear (even at night), and I love being able to see and talk to whoever’s at my door right from my phone. The motion alerts are quick and accurate, and I can adjust the sensitivity so I’m not getting notifications every time a car drives by. The app is easy to navigate, and the video playback feature makes it simple to review any activity I missed. It’s also great for deliveries — I get alerts when packages arrive, and I can tell drivers where to leave them if I’m not home. The only small downside is that you need a subscription to store and review past videos, but it’s reasonably priced for the extra peace of mind. The video quality is great. Motion sensing works well as long as you don't try to do anything smart and just tell it to notify you about everything. The app gives good step by step installation instructions.

I love having the Ring doorbell! It took me a while to get it, and I'm very glad I finally jumped on the bandwagon. I subscribed to a plan and also got an extra outdoor camera and indoor doorbell chime. It was easy to setup and install and easy to maintain. I like all of the app features and settings and how it alerts me for things like when the battery is getting lower and then lower and for different motion detections. You can customize zones, motion sensitivity, what is picked up on motion, schedules, etc. The picture quality, day and night, is very good, as well as the audio. It connects easily and hasn't dropped. Breeze to charge. I highly suggest adding at least the doorbell to your home! Whether for your own security, peace of mind, keeping up with the comings and goings at your home, and/or for coming in handy for the houses/neighbors around you, it's a great setup to have.

I would recommend this product over blink. I bought both, and the fact blink must connect to a dongle for wifi access makes live view much slower. Often, the live feed will fail to load completely. The camera quality is not great either, but on par with other low end doorbells. The one major thing that blink doorbell has going for it is how beautiful it is in the White color. Obviously this is an outdoor camera so it’s relatively weatherproof, the batteries that comes with seem to be good quality, and I believe them when they say it will last two years, but the connection speed, and often inability to load live view is a dealbreaker for me. My router is near the door and so both the camera and Wi-Fi station, and my Wi-Fi router were all in the same room and it still failed to connect with high latency. The ring camera on the other hand did not have this issue. Ring cameras connect directly to Wi-Fi, therefore the latency issues that blink faces are not a factor in ring cameras on the same Wi-Fi connection ringing would connect immediately.
