This cage is great! My son got a guinea pig unexpectedly 😆, and we had to find something quickly. We got the larger one because my friend said the piggy was on the larger side, and we wanted to have room for a friend should we need it. The cage is large, so make sure you look at dimensions. It will fit on top of his dresser, but like I said pay attention to dimensions the water bottle is pretty flimsy, but we have other options because we have rabbits. I'd make other arrangements and not trust the water bottle honestly. Other than that it's perfect. Have been using this cage for years for my Hedgehogs. They love the hidey space and I love that their food isn't where they sleep and allows a bit of exercise. Unfortunately she's getting older and can't climb, thankfully the platform is easily removable for this stage in life and I can move the food bowl to the level ground. The wiring also made it easy for them to climb when they were younger, (added exercise? I swear I wasn't raising pokey escape artists) It was easy to put together, and has lasted 6+ years now with only a few stains attached. The "door" stays in place pretty well, the only thing I don't like is sometimes the hooks that keep it in place get stuck or in a weird position, but that's wired cages for you. ... show more

THIS CAGE IS GOOD FOR A YOUNG GUINEA PIG OR RABBIT. SEEMS AS THEY GET BIGGER, OLDER THEY WOULD NEED MORE ROOM TO RUN AROUND OR JUST HAVE MORE SPACE TO LIVE IN. MY OLD GUINEA PIG LIKED THE HIDE OUT SINCE ITS PART OF THE SHELF. THIS CAGE IS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER AND ALSO IS VERY STURDY. I DIDNT USE THE GRASS FEEDER THAT HOOKS ON CAGE.
