I have had the LitterRobot3 from whisker for the last three years, that litterbox was great at first, but everything you had to do for maintenance was ridiculous and extremely time consuming, over the last year, it started throwing error codes(over torque codes) almost every other time it was used, I researched and found that apparently that was common and the reviews that mention it are often hidden...I was so fed up constantly having to troubleshoot and fix the error codes on top of taking it completely apart once a month to clean all the pieces(a lot of pieces and screws.. Frustrating) That brought me to researching other litterboxes to replace it with, there was no way I was going to spend another $700+ for a litterbox that let's you down before it pays for itself.... That brought me to this Litterbox, it caught my attention because I saw it was on sale(even if it wasn't on sale it's still less than half the price of that LitterRobot3), I read all the reviews here on Amazon, plus others on other review sites, at first I was skeptical, but I took the leap and bought it while it was on sale, and I'll tell you right now I'm glad I did! It was extremely easy to set up, it took me less than 10 minutes, my kitties took to it immediately, it is extremely quiet when it cycles, and finishes cycling in less than 30 seconds!, the app is awesome and recognizes my cats when they use it(after I added them into the app and binded them like the directions said) even my picky kitty will use it, she would refuse to poo in the LitterRobot3 which always meant extra mess and extra litterbox... She hasn't used the "extra" litterbox all week and has pood in this litterbox. I have only had this litterbox a week and already impressed with it! There's no smell, the deodorizer block it came with does it's job and does it well. I have 8 kitties and I foster babies throughout the year! So this is great for multiple cat households, I plan on buying another one of these! It took less than a minute to take it apart to clean it, quick and simple. I was able to wash it and put it back together in less than ten minutes, which made me extremely happy. The LitterRobot3 always took me 45 minutes+ to take apart, clean, dry, and put back together. The app took a day to figure out and get use to, but I'm my opinion that's normal with any new app! And I love that it was easy to figure out and the litterbox and app recognizes what kitty is using it! If you're looking for a great affordable litterbox that won't break the bank, is quiet, and doesn't smell, this is it!!!! ... show more

I love this litter box. It's nice and open so my cats adapted easily. Very little to no odor is really nice. Easy to take apart and clean. I recently had an issue where it was stopping mid cycle and flasing red light. I called customer service who had me send a video of the problem and they were so nice, wanted to help. They sent me instructions on how to fix it, which was just to clean a spot on both sides. It fixed the problem and now works perfectly. I highly recommend. ... show more

The ape part of our brain sees the lack of Prime one- or two-day shipping and subconsciously labels the product as inferior because we crave instant gratification. Don’t fall into that trap and pass on this litter robot. I have three cats, and I’ve been a big fan of Catlink since 2021, back when they were one of the first real competitors to the Litter-Robot, which was the king at the time. My original Catlink finally failed in December after four long years of heavy use and three cats putting it through absolute hell. I previously owned the Luxury Pro-X model, and it was worth every penny. When it died, I decided to check out the competition on Amazon and tried a Neakasa unit. I assumed the higher price meant it would be more premium. It was fine, but it had some serious annoyances, like fully closing and making the box inaccessible when it was full, which is a terrible design choice, especially with multiple cats if you work for a living. I eventually landed on this Catlink model because it looked familiar and I’d had such good luck with the brand before. Lightning struck twice. The build quality is excellent, it works reliably, and it handles three cats without issue. All of my cats and I love it. It’s very easy to clean, and the waste is distributed much more evenly in the bin, which leads to fuller bags and fewer changes. That uneven distribution was one of my few complaints with my older Catlink unit. It's also worthy of note: it's half of the cost of the Neakasa. The app isn’t perfect, but it’s updated regularly, and compared to 2021 it’s night-and-day better. Customer service has also been great, they even sent me four extra waste bin deodorizers for free after my purchase. Overall, don’t hesitate.
