My last furry baby passed away recently so I decided to do some (long overdue) home upgrades before adopting again. One of the issues I had was that sometimes I wanted to let my furry babies in/out my room but needed to keep the door closed to mitigate the human noises, improve heating/cooling efficiency, and/or just for preferred privacy. These cute *lockable* pet doors are exactly what I've wanted/needed. I've installed them (easy peasy!) on each of our bed/office doors so when the doors are closed we can still choose whether we want furry company or not. Purrfect! The best part is that these doors aren't only functional, they're also decorative and unobtrusive. The door material and the lock are very sturdy and appear strong enough to withstand a determined "kid" from breaking through. This is important (for me) because we've had some strong and crafty kitties in the past. These doors should do the trick to keep each family member in their proper space. I installed the standard size in our house and it's plenty big enough for the largest cat I've owned to have gotten through. Any bigger and the cat either belongs in a zoo or on Jenny Craig 😆. I recommend every small pet owner have something like this for at least 1 room if they want to maintain some semblance of control of the house (but we all know who's really in charge. We have two dogs in our house. One of them is a giant puppy about 120 pounds. And my 16 pound jack Russell terrier. I purchase this to give access to my office for the smaller dog. I love it it’s really cute and just the right size. The extra large works for dogs the size of a jack Russell terrier.

I am obsessed with this kitty door!! I love it! I already had a cute cat door (it was a door with a kitty face on one side & a kitty booty on the other side), but it was just an opening, so I couldn't close it, when I needed to keep my cat in my room. I had to put up a baby gate at my door to keep her in & I was so tired of climbing over the baby gate to get into my bedroom. This door is so much more convenient!! Install was easy for our handy man to take care of... DIY's should have no issues. Our cat is average size, 13 lbs, and fits thru easily. Nice that can close the door and lock to keep him out of the room when don't want him coming in. Would be cute if came in different colors though.
