Perfect for a whole chicken with potatoes, onions celery and carrots . Chili or just browning hamburger is perfect. Browns very nicely. I have only washed by hand. If I brown something that does stay on bottom so I let it soak and then scrubs right out. But if you want the flavor of browning it is well worth it. Also I haven’t scratched it as of yet and i have used metal and plastic and wooden spoons. Does get hot to the touch. The included holders i definitely use. Best pot for so many different kinds of things. It won’t crack and it’s not heavy . Highly recommended and Iam an avid cook . I have lots of different pots and pans and this is definitely my go to by far. I just leave it sit on my stovetop. I can cook for one person to whole ham, turkey, chicken , sloppy joes, roast. You could even bake a cake in it.

Best dutch oven on the market. Cooks evenly. Cleans easily. This dutch oven will last a lifetime if properly cared for. My great grand kids will be cooking with this dutch oven long after I am gone.

I've had this product a few months now, have used it for numerous dishes from stuffed peppers to stew and roasted a few chicken breast. Cleans up great but if you do let it cook in a little too much there is some soaking involved so you don't use a harsh scouring pad. Seems to cook evenly heat up well and cleanliness quite a breeze I would recommend this. One area I read you didn't need to season it, but on the tag that comes with it it said you needed to season it just to help with the cleaning a quick seasoning I think would be better, I season it after every clean up. Great value versus cast iron and much lighter. The size is good for a small family especially if you want leftovers and I think it's good quality aluminum.

The media could not be loaded. This pot is so BEAUTIFUL! Sturdy and so happy to call it mines! The 8 quart oval Dutch oven will be great for my family of 6! I look forward to cooking all my cajun recipes and some in this pit! First thing will be a homemade chicken n sausage gumbo! I don’t have a memaw so sadly I would never have inherited one! But my 4 girls will have for years to come! I think it’s the most beautiful pit I own. I trust Magnaware brand ! The packaging was excellent! Arrived in tip top shape. The unbox was fun n exciting! Love the box it came in! You can tell they care how they package there items. Recommend you go with this brand ! It’s worth the money! Can’t wait to use it!
