If the remote isn’t working after the install, turn the light switch off, then turn it back on and depress the “learn” button until the lights blink. May take up to a minute. Then remote should work.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased two of these fans because I have an open floor plan of living room and kitchen. Due to a fire last Halloween, we lost everything inside of our home. We’re just now moving back in and starting from scratch. I searched for days on Amazon and finally settled on these. They looked great in the pics. The electrician who installed them just left and I couldn’t be happier! They’re darling fans. Very unique. Not something that everyone will have. Not only are the aesthetically pleasing, but they work amazing. No sound at all, and the different speeds are incredible. The amount of air and wind these things can produce is crazy!!! Cools a room or a space right off. Could not be more pleased with this purchase. If you’re looking for something that is a little bit country, a little bit whimsical, a little bit modern and a lot bit classy, look no further. Even our electrician LOVED these. He’s never installed anything like these before. Super super great purchase. They arrived on time, well packaged and they’re everything the add on Amazon claimed, and more.

Update: decided to keep it and order another. Plan to paint it an actual antique white color. Hopefully it works good and is quiet. Haven't installed yet Original: it's green. I asked my kids the color and they said white. I looked again and it is definitely more green than white. Ugh. Not sure i want to paint it at this price point. The design is beautiful. Wondering why they didn't make it a normal antique white or cream color. This is very different than all of the shabby chic we have in our home

We love these fans and are installing a pair in our recently purchased home, having had a pair in the last home. They have a unique beautiful design, and are whisper quiet. I am not a color expert, and don't see all sorts of different hues in this cream colored unit, so I don't have that problem. For a DIY one man install, this fan does present some challenges. The biggest is attachment of the canopy to the mount; two 10-24 very short screws mate to holes on the mount on each side of the canopy right even with the ceiling. I replaced these with 3/4" inch socket head screws and found the work MUCH easier.

This is the most impressive ceiling fan we have in our house. It is not only beautiful to look at but very substantial and is almost like a work of art. It is very noticeable as soon as you enter the room. My husband and I both love it. As far as installation goes, the only real difficulty in it is the weight of the base of the fan. It is ceramic and heavy. It will require more than one person to hold while connecting the power to the motor. Dropping the ceramic base would be disastrous. It will break if it is dropped, it's nothing like the typical fans on the market. Otherwise, it is like any other fan installation. The fan we purchased operates by remote control and we do not have any issues with it. You do have to set up the remote the same way you do a garage door opener with the learn button. Just read the instruction sheet; it is very simple to set up.

I love these ceiling fans. They are the perfect color and match our traditional home perfectly. They have a vintage style and they are quiet and very well made. High quality. I am going to purchase two more. My only complaint is you cannot turn on/off with the wall switch. Its remote only.

From a design perspective I was very excited to receive this item and could not wait until its arrival. From the day I received it which was June 1st, 2016 I had a licensed electrician install this item. From night one it was absolute misery as this fan had a horrible rattle that would not allow me to sleep as it was installed in my bedroom. At first I thought maybe my electrician was an idiot who did not install it correctly and so I called a different electrician to reinstall it. The second electrician could not figure it out either. I contacted Lamps Plus to have one of their technicians come out and take a look, they forced me to wait another week for one of their technicians to come out with a replacement (They never replaced the item) the technician believed he had fixed the issue. Rather than replace the item Lamps Plus took the cheapest alternative and just try to fix what I had purchased and it continues to lightly rattle now. For the first 3 week of purchase I did not sleep. Now at almost a month mark my sleep is still badly disrupted by this item. Also the interior foil guard of the fan is coming off only one month in creating horrible shadows inside of the light fixtures. My fixture also looked used and had odd dirt located at the bottom of the unit that is not part of "The Vintage" look. Stay Away! Bad and lengthy Customer Service.
