    • I’ve been using this bedding for years, what happened?

I’ve been using carefresh pet bedding for years for my ferrets and never once had an issue. I usually get the 60L bag but there was none in stock so I went with the 30L bag. When receiving it, it was a lot darker in color, like a dark brown instead of the normal beige color (see picture for reference). I chose to ignore it because some times the color can vary due to it being natural paper bedding. But then, a few hours later, after scooping out the old, dirty bedding and replacing it with this new bedding, I noticed a funky smell..it almost reminded me of cat litter and I couldn’t get over it so I grabbed the bag of new bedding and smelled it. Low and behold the combination smell of cat litter and farm animals hit my nose. I’m not sure how or why this bedding smells like it was picked out of a used animal cage but I’m extremely unhappy as a regular customer. ... show more
