I absolutely love this uke. I've had it and been playing it often for nearly a year at this point. It instantly became my favorite in my whole collection, easily surpassing some that I have that were four or five times the cost. Things I love about it: It is wonderfully playable. The action is pleasant and adjusted well and it is quite easy to play and control. Intonation is perfect. It has a large neck and comfortable spacing compared to most of my ukes including other tenors. Also, the tuners are excellent. It sounds amazing. It is loud and clear and has a warm tone. I primarily sing and play together and I feel it melds well with my singing. Very dynamic. It looks beautiful. The mango wood and finish are stunning. I've had many comments from folks I perform for about how nice it looks. The fit and finish are great. Things I am neutral about but should note: It is large. It is much larger than my other tenors. It has kind of a fat bottom. Looks kind of like a small guitar. I question if it would fit in some cases made for tenors. I use a lanyard for it when I am performing (I don't like a quitar-style strap for my ukes, though it has buttons for it) and for my other tenors, I don't use anything. I put a low-G on mine. I don't have much experience playing it with the stock strings. It comes with decent accessories. The case isn't wonderful but it is a big step up from the cheap plastic bags some ukes have. Overall, the things it came with are nice to have. Things that could be better: Almost not worth noting, but, the neck is a little dry. I haven't oiled it yet but may. From the time I got it, it seemed a little dry to the touch. It isn't affecting playability, mostly just how it looks. I generally prefer a less-finished neck back. This one is glossy like the rest of the instrument, and it is fine. Just a preference. Overall, I could not be happier with this purchase. Saying it punches above it's weight (or price) is selling it short. It is fantastic. This is not a "beginner" uke. This is a quality intermediate + instrument. I plan to buy this model in a different wood any day now when I work myself up to it!

I ordered all 3 Caramel SOLID wood Tenor ukes. All 3 arrived in perfect condition with level frets, and perfectly adjusted bridge and nut. That has never happened in the other 20 ukes I have, including a $600 Ohana. This uke came with an upgraded gig bag and a huge bag of extras like strings, pegs, strap picks, cord, batteries, etc. Caramel is maybe the most underrated ukulele...it is like a sleeper brand, providing exceptional quality at amazing prices. This is by far my favorite brand! The built in tuner and EQ works exceptionally well. They picked a superior type of piezo pickup that is bright and clear. (I have some Enyas that have terrible pickups that were dull and one buzzed until I wrapped it with copper tape.) The finish on these Caramels is flawless, construction is sharp and clean, and the tuners are smooth as butter! I have a lot of Concert ukes and thought I'd try a Tenor to fit my hands better. I am very happy with the extra room the larger fretboard provides. I can also confirm the wood IS SOLID Mango and the gloss finish is very nice. They include quality flourocarbon strings which sound nice. So nice I might not switch them right away to my favorites: Worth Browns. If I had one criticism in general, is that if you ever change strings, those tuning pegs can pop out when you tune back up. I had a fussy peg that kept popping out when I changed strings on my solid Acacia Caramel Tenor. The solution is a TINY dab of super glue on the peg. Overall, I can't recommend the Caramel brand highly enough. I now have 6 and they are by far my favorites over my other 20. The quality and value you get for the money is off the charts! Also to be clear, I bought all these, nobody is paying me to say this! I am just that much impressed....

I am the very proud owner of a solid Mango uke that is not only beautiful but produces a warm, nostalgic sound from a bygone era. I truly appreciate the projection and long, sustained resonance that only a solid wood instrument can offer. Having played guitar a few decades ago, I have rediscovered the wonderful joy of music through these small ukuleles. I own several other ukes, but this one has become my absolute favorite. In fact, I am now considering a second solid wood model from this brand to replace a much more expensive, yet "boring," Hawaiian name-brand instrument. I play all kinds of music in both Spanish and English, from boleros to folk and rock. The craftsmanship and finish are very similar to vintage Brazilian guitars, and the built-in electronics are good enough for any aficionado—and perhaps even a professional player on a budget. Thank you, Caramel, for giving us the opportunity to own this little piece of happiness at such an affordable price

Came a little lake but it was worth the wait I would recommend this ukulele to anyone the glossy Finnish of the ukulele is fantastic. I would match this ukulele with a Kala ukulele or even a Kamaka ukulele, it has a nice deep tone I will love to get a tanner ukulele in the future it comes with also a built in tuner and electric pick up beautiful product love it

I really like this ukulele. The only thing is I wish they put a stronger strings. Mine one string broke after about four months of playing and I don’t like it every day. I do play maybe 1 a week.

I am becoming a fan of mango ukuleles.... I am a beginner ukulele player, but have been messing around with guitars for years. I have four ukuleles, this was the second one I bought. One less expensive and two other high dollar ukes... Tons of research. I keep coming back to the sound of this uke. Not expensive, but well built with whistles.. solid wood, and extras. The mango sounds the best to me. I don't like dull looking ukes either. This one looks very nice.. As good or better than the other handmade ones I got. I compare it to the Snail and Eastman ukes. You will not go wrong getting this one. However, I noticed today that Amazon is not listing this one right now. It has the Caramel ukes in other solid wood types, but I no longer see the mango version. Must be sold out. Good luck.

This ukulele sounds absolutely wonderful and comes with 1 battery in the tuner already with 2 spares as well. My problem is the bottom string came frayed and plays with a dull sound. I tried calling Amazon for help getting replacement strings and they told me to just return the whole instrument instead. I'm really disappointed that the other 3 strings sound so amazing but the bottom one came damaged, so I have to return the entire instrument if I want any customer support. (See picture and video attached)
