I run a small lawn service with quite a few machines that are often reluctant to start. My mechanic had a similar (but far more expensive) jump starter pack that got stolen. That left us in the precarious position of running around with either a large capacity battery charger or driving a truck around to whatever vehicle or machine wouldn't start and then hooking up jumper cables. I have been very pleasantly surprised to discover that this tiny little box can actually jump start my industrial wood chipper, my Ford 450 diesel, the F-150, and any number of smaller machines that were reluctant to go. Complete disclosure: this machine will NOT have enough current to start a large industrial machine under extended engine cranking conditions. It does use up the stored current rather quickly. If the machine starts well, and you only have a dead or low battery, it kicks right in and makes it start. I have also discovered that it holds a charge for quite an extended period. It sat unused in the back of my car for several weeks. When I left the lights on and killed the battery, it started my diesel Volkswagen very easily. Bonus! This contraption does a great job of charging your phone or other USB device. It has two output jacks, and charge two cellular phones at once, providing you have the correct charger cord. Drawback: the charger pack only charges from a usb-C mini plug. It does it it does include its own 120v charger, but it does take several hours to recharge. If you had a usb adapter in your car, you could recharge the battery pack, but it would take a lot of driving to get it recharged. This junk box has easily paid for itself in wages saved in rescues not required in just one month. Of course, our demand for extra jump starts is considerably higher than most folks. I am so pleased with this contraption, I intend to get an extra one for each vehicle in my family fleet. Disclosure: we killed it in the first year of use. It no longer charges. I bought another; we got our money's worth out of it.

First off I got this so that I don't have to carry around the bigger heavier jumper that I have to rescue customers locally to me. Right out of the box it looked nice. Well put together. Esthetically looked great. First chance I got to use it - it didn't work. Nothing happened. I didn't even get bright lights on the dash or any interior lights at all. I charged it fully because maybe that's what it needed. I had a second chance to use it but used a volt meter to see if voltage went up with the unit attached. No change in circuit voltage. Tried different ways to hook up the clamps. Again, no signs of life with this little jumper hooked up. I thought maybe it had a sensing mode to activate while trying to crank the motor - again nothing. Maybe it was because the battery was "too dead"... but I got the vehicle to start with my older and heavier 750 CCA jumper box. For the price, I thought it was a great deal to have. Unfortunately it was DOA. Seller refunded me with no issues. I'll just stick with 'ol hefty that I bought from a parts store over 10 years ago.

Recently I noticed that my motorcycle was cranking slower than usual. I thought that using my battery tender and giving the battery a good charge was all it needed since the motorcycle battery was only a year old. I rode up to an area in North Carolina to ride a road called "The Dragon's Tail." I spent the night in a local motel, got up early to begin my day of riding and found that my battery was dead. This motel was out a ways from town and I was thinking that I would have to find a way to get to a motorcycle shop or an Auto Zone to buy a new battery and wasn't sure how I was going to do it when I remembered that I had this battery jump starter in my side case. I had not used it yet and was apprehensive that it would really not be able to start my motorcycle because of it's size. I hooked it up, hit the starter button, and the bike fired right up saving the day for me. It paid for itself right there. I'm going to buy 2 more. One for my son and one for my son-in-law.

I started having some trouble getting my engines started on my airplane before draining the battery since I wasn't flying often enough so instead of pulling the battery every time and charging it I decided to try one of these small jump boxes. Much easier to charge the jump box and I don't have to hassle with removing the battery. I was skeptical but not only did it jump off my airplane, when I got back home I needed to move my VW Bus for the landscaper but the battery was too weak to start it. So without even charging this jump box I used it to jump off my VW Bus too. I keep this charged and in my Hummer now instead of humor cables because it is safer and easier to use than jumper cables. Plus, if we are going to be out of the we can use it for charging phones while camping. I've told all my friends and shared the link because I believe that much in the value of having the extra power when you need it. I'm no longer a skeptic!
