I purchased this to put a fleet of rubber ducks on my dash board. I'd used double sided tape and that ticky tack bubblegum stuff and they'd still go sliding everywhere. This may was easy to install and has worked like a charm. No ducks have slid off no matter how hard I brake or turn. I live in VA where the summer heat can be 110° and it has not melted or had any issues. Overall, it's well worth the money. I imagine if it can hold an incredibly light weight rubber duck it would do an amazing job holding other, heavier objects as well. ... show more

It will melt in the sun or 80+ degrees Fahrenheit. There’s nothing you can do once it melts. It’s just sticky, wet-looking rubber. But it doesn’t slip at least.

This is the orfeft amount of sticky. Sometimes they are just too much - especially with the heat of summer and the black dash it can be a mess getting it off and on or replacing it or what not. The only thing I can say is that by three or four of them because you’ve only get one good stick and one peel that’s it for one you can’t reuse it or anything like that. This was a great product for me in the first year, but the second year I had this in the car, it started melting. I guess the heat finally broke it down. two summers was too much. I had to remove it since the goo was getting everywhere. up until that point, the utility of this product was great. The grip was just the right amount to keep items on but not get stuck. I had one of these in a previous work car. I got a new car and my old one was kept as a spare and left outside in the sun. After a couple weeks, the rubber mat melted into the dash and was impossible to clean off. I had already bought one for my new car and while on vacation it was left outside for about 10 days and also started melting. Luckily I caught it in time and was able to clean it off.
