Not sure why other reviews are having issues with this power cage module, everything came packaged nicely, no scuffs on the metal and small pads for barbell to rest on j-hook and safety bars. Even came with a 2in barbell storage slot in the rear of the rack. I ordered this power cage while also ordering a weight set from the same company and they both work well together. I'd say the only thing that bothers me, is some bars don't directly line up even when balanced correctly but it's still very sturdy equipment. Look forward to working out with this equipment. Also the third picture posted, you have to make sure you pay attention to how the bars line up, I had to go back one time to rearrange one of the bars. ... show more

I got the orange/black model. It looks nice from a distance, but...the pieces were not packaged well and have many chips. The J hooks have no padding--just smooth powder-coated steel where the barbell rests. The safety arms have only a thin plastic strip for padding, and the weight of a barbell dents it immediately and causes it to peel. The sleeve for barbell storage was designed incorrectly and is in a place where a standard barbell won't fit. The plate pegs flex with well under 100 pounds on them. There's a discrepancy between the stated capacity in the owner's manual and the capacity advertised online. Overall, it seems flimsy and low quality. It sways a lot. It holds all the weight but wants to go back and forth. Not sure what I should do. With all the weights combined it’s less than 200lbs.

Why are the J-hooks designed as identical modules instead of having separate left and right sides? How is someone supposed to attach resistance bands on each side for assisted pull-ups? Also, the long safety catches don’t seem functional for band-assisted pull-ups. The overall design feels very frustrating and not well thought out for this purpose. If you are shopping for a rack, look for something with better design. Don't recommend this product at all. ... show more
