  • My Home Gym is Complete
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N 352lbs Stacks
I’ve been extremely impressed with this DONOW functional trainer. After using it for a while, I was able to cancel my gym membership because this machine has become my one-stop shop for strength training. The build quality is outstanding. Everything feels solid, sturdy, and well-built, even during heavier lifts. The Smith machine glides smoothly, the cable system operates flawlessly, and every attachment feels secure during use. The versatility is what really sets this machine apart. I can perform bench presses, squats, rows, cable crossovers, tricep pushdowns, curls, shoulder exercises, and leg work all on one machine. It has allowed me to build a complete workout routine without feeling limited compared to a commercial gym. One thing prospective buyers should know is that the cable weight stacks are 2:1 ratio, so the resistance at the handles is lower than the number selected on the stack. That said, I haven’t found it to be an issue at all. The resistance is smooth and still provides more than enough weight for productive workouts. Another huge benefit is the space savings. Instead of needing several separate machines, this combines nearly everything into one compact, well-designed unit while still offering an incredible variety of exercises. Assembly takes some time, but the end result is absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a high-quality functional trainer that can replace a gym membership and provide commercial-style workouts at home, I highly recommend this machine. I’m already looking at adding more DONOW attachments! ... show more

  • Great machine, Great workouts
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N+WB+240lbs Weight Plates
This was a big purchase for us, but it was so worth it. We love all the features it comes with and all the different workouts we can do. Sturdy machine, easy to build with two people. We love the weight bar slides, they are very smooth. The pulley cables roll smoothly as well. One of the features we really really like is the double pulley assembly release pins. They are convenient when it comes to changing to different workouts. We are very satisfied with the barbell weight it comes with and the barbell holders are nice and keeps the weights organized. If you are thinking of making a big purchase like this, this machine is a great one for begining and advanced intensities. My teenage son is enjoying the machine and how he can be creative with his workouts. ** My husband has two suggestions for this machine. One, the lat bar could come with screw holes for the olympic sleeve so the screws don't make the sleeve bulge, this causes the barbell not set completely on the sleeve. Two, the barbell pad and cover could be replaced with a single foam pad, the included pad and cover are impractical. All together we highly recommend this DONOW Smith Machine, you will enjoy all your workouts. ... show more

  • Worth the price I paid for the DONOW Smith Machine!
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938B 320lbs(Lat Pulldown Bench)
I’ve been using the DONOW Smith Machine (DN-DS938B) for a bit now and I’m really happy with it. It feels super solid and stable—even when lifting heavier—and doesn’t feel cheap at all. What I like most is how much you can do with it. It’s basically a full gym in one machine—Smith bar, cables, pull-ups, everything. Saves a ton of space and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything from a regular gym. The cables are smooth, the bar moves nicely, and the safety features make it great for working out alone. Setup took a while, but once it’s done, it’s rock solid. Overall, definitely worth it if you’re building a home gym 👍 ... show more

  • 4 stars... good video to build, solid unit good price... LOTS OF WORK (LONG REVIEW)
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N 352lbs Stacks
I'll try to come back and add photos later but here is what you need to know ***Watch the video before the install, and during the install it will help you understand what you are doing, and has items in it that the WRITTEN DIRECTIONS SKIP! for instance the back bar has bolts that go in from the bottom and if you have already built the sides you have to lift it off the ground to install them.... *** More notes/ thoughts... 1- I built it by myself with some power tool assistance it took around 8 hours by myself 2- the CABLE is tight and i have to pull it down to set the weights each time, hoping it stretches out, it has minimal adjustment settings (even with the bolt mostly out it still too tight) 3- I wish you could pick the side to put the 'foot pad' or even come with 2 foot pads for the "row function" currently bottom left side. 4- I flipped the direction of a few bolts for a cleaner look from the 'inside' 5- It is in KGS on both sides of the weight stack, no LBS numbers I am going to print some and add them myself 6- It has 2 stacks which is great to workout with my sons at the same time 7- YOU DO NEED at least 9' in width (minimum) if you plan to use the weight holders on the sides of the machine and be able to access them.. They recommend 11' CIRCLE 8- Very heavy duty and the cables/ wheels spin well I may add more later. ... show more

  • Quality Product at an affordable price
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N 352lbs Stacks
Previous to this product I had smith machines from another well known fitness company. I am a person that gets a little nervous about buying products from companies I have never heard of before and this was a big leap given the price point of this product. I took the chance mainly because I was looking for a home gym that would do everything. The biggest need for me was adjustable cables with weight stacks built into the home gym. I follow the Hany Rambod (won multiple Mr. Olympia Titles as a coach) FST-7 workout platform. This requires a lot of cable work along with Olympic lifts. The previous home gym I had required a lot of changing weights on a cable system by loading and unloading plates. Annoying to deal with when you have to do this frequently. Comparing this product to my previous set up, this is leaps and bounds ahead of that other system. Structurally speaking, this home gym is solid. All of the pieces fit together like a glove, I notice this mostly when doing heavy lifting. A lot of other home gyms will shift around or rock with racking and re-racking weights. This machine stays put and makes me feel very secure when doing squats and bench press out of it. Versatility of exercises. This home gym will let you do it all between the smith machine, support arms for lifting free weights out of it, cable system for Lat pull downs, rows, chest fly, weighted ab exercises, overhead pull up bar. this home gym as it all. The ability to move the cables from over your head and all the way down to the floor is a game changer. Changing the weight on the stacks in the back of the home gym is a breeze. The most important part of cable exercises for me is the smoothness of the pull. some cable machines are jerky due to bad pulleys or easily kinked cables. Not this product, the cables pull smooth likely due to the amount of pulleys and guides that the cable go through. This is a well put together product. The weight in the weight stacks in the back are plastic. Not a big deal to me at all, weight is weight. It does not matter if it is plastic or metal, it still achieves the goal of giving resistance. The guides for weight on the weight stacks are in kg is the only thing I do not like about the product. I just put tape over one side of the weight numbers and converted it to lbs. Add-ons: Due to the build of this home gym I was able to add some hanging ab straps I owned previously to the overhead pull up bar to let me do a larger variety of abdominal work outs. I also purchased dip attachments that work well with the frame of the cage. The last thing that I added was a cage attachment to allow me to do leg extension and leg curls. Things I plan on getting in the future was looking into an attachment for the smith bar so I can do leg press and calf raises. I would not expect these add-ons to be included with the home gym as they traditionally are not from the research I did before deciding to purchase. Lastly price point: Its unmatched, other home gym systems like this easily go for 1-2K more than the price this product is currently listed for. THIS IS A STEAL for the price it is selling for. I would be highly surprised if you bought this product and were not satisfied with your purchase. If you are not familiar with this company have no fear, this is better than any other home gym I have had in the past. ... show more

  • Well worth the money!!!
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N 352lbs Stacks
This Smith machine is an outstanding investment and delivers exceptional value for a complete home gym setup. It truly functions as an all-in-one training system, offering everything needed for a full-body workout—aside from weight plates for the bar, which can be easily purchased separately at a reasonable cost. The build quality is impressive. The frame is constructed from heavy-duty materials, providing excellent durability and long-term reliability. It feels solid and stable during use, even under heavier loads, which adds a strong sense of safety and confidence while training. Assembly is straightforward, with clear instructions and a helpful step-by-step video that makes the process manageable, even for those without much experience putting equipment together. What really sets this machine apart is the convenience it offers. It eliminates the need to deal with crowded gyms and allows you to complete a wide range of exercises from the comfort of your own home. Whether you're focused on strength training, functional fitness, or general conditioning, this system supports it all. Overall, this is a high-quality, versatile piece of equipment that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to build a reliable and efficient home gym. ... show more

  • This thing is a beast and worth every dollar you pay for it!
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938N 352lbs Stacks
This first review, is about the receiving of it, the unpacking of it, the assembly of it, and the quality of it. First, be ready for eight, mostly heavy boxes. One of them is 50 pounds or so, and the rest are all like 80+ bordering on 100 pounds. Assembly: Once you unpack everything this is where the real work begins. There is a video on YouTube that is invaluable and should win a short film Academy Award for those of us that go about building something with 1000 parts. I’m joking about the number of parts. First of all, one of the most amazing things about the organization of parts is the way that they have each of the bolts and nuts organized by the section you’re working on. Some cover multiple sections, but what’s nice is that 90% of the nuts are all one size. They say 17 mm but in all actuality a 16 mm wrench was perfect. I set out to not be in a hurry in building the rack. In fact, I did not take YouTube out to the garage with me where I was building it. When I had a question, I came back into my house, sat down in my recliner and watch the video back-and-forth a few times (for the section I was working on - not the whole thing). I slowed YouTube down to 50% speed and no volume because the music might send you over the edge mentally. Stepping away for the video, was incredibly helpful. Everything went smoothly, and I built it all by myself without an extra person to stabilize anything. As I said, I was slow and methodical, even so I still got things backwards and had to undo things a couple of times. Pro tip: when assembling the large cable with the ball at the end, pay very close attention. When you run it through the very front set of pulleys - make sure you go underneath a metal piece there on the back of the lower pulley. Going from memory here. I think it was the lower pulley either way look at the back of those two pulleys and you’ll see it. Otherwise you’re gonna have to undo quite a few pulleys, but it wasn’t catastrophic. As for the parts, they were pretty much perfect. I ended up with only two extra washers. Stability: You’re gonna be very impressed with how stable the set up is there is no rocking or wobbling, unless you lean into it and force it to wobble. So you might ask yourself why not do a review on how well it is to work out with? And that’s a fair question. You see I’m 61 years old and have not worked out with any kind of weights in five years so after moving everything into place and getting it all set up, I feel like my first week in a gym. My back was sore. My glutes were sore And my hamstrings feel like a weedeater got to them. In other words for those in my age bracket, I’m the scrawny kid on the back of the comic book getting sand kicked in my face. Unfortunately, there’s no Charles Atlas to rescue me now. Give me a week or two, and I’ll come back and write a review about how well it works, the smoothness and all the mechanics. My first inclination is that I may have to go back and back off the tightness of the pulley bolts. It could also be from being brand new, and I only grabbed the balls at the end of the cables. Once I put a proper handle or grip on it, it might work a lot easier. Once I sit down on a bench or start working the cables properly I’ll be able to tell if this thing is smooth and fluid with the cabling and pulleys and weights. First impression there may be more expensive ones out there with brand names, but this thing to me seems top of the line. The only reason I can see not buying this is if you wanted something American made versus Chinese. Having said that, if you’re looking at an American company, do your due diligence and make sure they’re not importing it from China and putting their name on it. Because as of right now, this Chinese product is top-notch, especially in the price range being sold. ... show more

  • Great piece of equipment. Read below for recommendations
Color: Standard Weight Set name: DN-DS938B 320lbs(Lat Pulldown Bench)
The machine is awesome and very sturdy. A few things to consider when purchasing- It will be shipped in 9 different boxes. Instructions are hard to read but if you've built lego before you should be good. When assembling, make sure you pay attention to all the ways the bars are facing before moving to the next step. You dont want to get halfway through and realize one of the support bars are facing the wrong way. It will take about 5 hours to assemble. The Fully chords are the hardest to assemble but make sure you line them out straight when assembling so you dont have future twists. The pulleys are made cheaply. This machine doesnt come with grease so look at investing in some if you want a smoth pull. Overall, well worth the investment! Good luck ... show more
