This machine deserves a great review. No, it is not the most high end or professional gym equipment out there, but for a home gym for you and your family I am honestly not sure what more someone would expect, especially at this price point. The value you get with this machine is incredible. It has everything you need to get a solid full body workout including squats, bench press, lat pull downs, cables, and more. It is versatile, sturdy, and perfect for a garage gym setup. I also want to mention the setup. I did not have any issues putting this together on my own. Yes, one woman by myself. I took my time and did part of it one day and finished the next. Altogether it probably took me about 4 to 5 hours, but that was with me taking my sweet patient time and matching up the items to the instructions since they are not numbered. Honestly, if you look at the instructions and match the machine parts list with the pieces you may be unsure about, it helps a lot. Between work, my family, and household responsibilities, splitting it into two days made it easy and manageable. Since getting it I have been in my garage gym 4 to 5 days a week and it has been fantastic. It has motivated me to stay consistent with my workouts because everything I need is right there at home. Could I upgrade to something more expensive in the future. Maybe. But honestly I do not even see myself needing to. This machine does exactly what I need it to do and does it well. If you are looking for a complete workout system for your home without spending thousands of dollars, this is an excellent choice. Great value, great functionality, and a solid addition to any home gym. Yes, I need to fix my flooring/ add mats and reorganize my at home gym. Everything is a work in progress.

This is my first Smith machine purchase after weeks of comparing others and looking for the features I wanted. Assembly isn't difficult but take your time. I highly recommend that you sort the rectangular pieces by size and put a sticky note on them with the part number...it will save you time and confusion later. I had this assembled in a day largely by myself and I've been using this machine now for about a month. I can confirm that this machine has enabled my workouts to go well beyond what I was able to do with just some dumbbells and I'm completely satisfied with the purchase. I would consider SunHome again for future purchases, as well.

I purchased this unit for $899. I am pleased with the quality of the machine and would definitely buy it again. I based my decision to purchase on the reviews and I must say most of the reviews are spot on. The following is what I like about the unit and my minor criticisms of the unit. ASSEMBLY: I am a pretty handy guy and I must admit I was a bit dismayed when I unpackaged all the parts. It appears daunting at first. The instructions contain assembly diagrams only, which reference part numbers. There are four bubble packets that have every nut, bolt and washer. These packets go in order and contain all the hardware for the particular diagram you are currently working on. FOLLOW THE DIAGRAMS IN ORDER. Don’t skip a step or try to assembly line the process. Also, hand tighten every bolt and wait until everything is together to tighten up the bolts. You’ll need the play to get it all together. With regard to the cables, look closely at the diagram for the arrows indicating the path the cable must take. I made one mistake on these steps and had to re-do one of the cables. My one criticism is the steel parts may have a part number or may not. I found that only a few parts had the part number on it. So I just had to compare the part to the sketch on the diagram. There are 17 pulleys on the machine, 10 of one size and 7 of another size. No part numbers on the actual pulleys. Here, I had to look on the parts list to see that the pulley part number had either 7 or 10 to determine which one the diagram was referring to. Keep them separate. I used a ratchet wrench and a socket wrench instead of a crescent wrench and an Allen bit on my cordless drill instead of the Allen wrench included in the box. There are approximately 10 billion bolts on the machine and I found the alternate tools to be a time saver. I put it together myself with no help and it took about 8 hours. I believe it could be done much faster with two people. QUALITY: I am impressed with the quality of the machine for the price. The steel is solid and in most load bearing sections a steel gusset plate is provided at the connection providing extra strength and support for the bolt connections. The machine is sturdy with no rocking or displacement. A generous amount of accessories are included (long lat bar, seated row handle, rope pull down, T-bar pivot, crossover handles, ankle strap, etc.) The plate storage is ample and out of the way. However, beware of bumper plates that are all one size. The plate storage racks are designed for plates that are different sizes. Unfortunately, I bought bumper plates and I cannot utilize the center plate storage post because the plates collide. I have to use only the top and bottom post. The action on the Olympic bar slides and the pulleys is very smooth. However, you will need a light lubricant on the main post of the pulley rack. The collar that slides on the post would catch a little on the main post. I put a few drops of gun oil on the main post and it travels without catching now. CONCLUSION: For the money, this is a great machine. I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again. Good luck!

Good overall quality of built. Parts were mostly not labeled, but the pictorial instructions were easy enough to follow. Took about 5 hours to build. Work great after proper application of gym greese for moving parts. Would recommend.

Nice machine, took me abut 4 hours to completely assemble by myself. Comes in 4 separate boxes and arrived several days early. I’m 6’1” and this machine is plenty big enough for me with no issues. Bar is smooth on the track, all pulleys are smooth and work well.

The gym equipment itself is very good and feels solid once assembled, but the assembly process was frustrating. The instructions were poorly written and hard to follow, so if you’re not mechanically inclined or don’t have a lot of common sense when building things, you’ll probably struggle. Another big issue: no tools were included for assembly. If you don’t already own basic tools, you’re basically stuck. We even watched the installation video, but they moved way too fast during the cable setup part, which made it even more confusing. Overall, the equipment is great once it’s together, but be prepared for a difficult setup process.

I spent a significant amount of time researching the smith machines available on Amazon, and this one stood out for its value. You get all of the major exercises and motions, including an array of cable movements. The quality of the equipment has also been excellent value. Set-up is relatively straightforward. I did it myself, helped by the guide book. I will say that the video included on the product page was particularly helpful. Some of the steps to watch out for were the installation of the weights (make sure they are in the correct orientation), be slow and cautious in the arrangement of the cables and pulleys (make sure they're pointed the right way before you move on, including making sure that the cabling is put through the correct paths. I messed this up and had to backtrack a bit. I've had it for 3 weeks now and I'm a big fan of the value you get.

So there were some missing carriage bolts and plates the bolts are used with however the seller contacted me after a 1 star review and offered refund or to send the missing parts. That being said it's a decent machine that gets the job done. The cable system isn't the greatest being there a few tricks to get full extension out of them because there is way too much slack in the line with no way to adjust for the seated row and upper cables that also double as the lat pull. The fly machine has a way to adjust the slack in the cable but it's probably the most useless item on the machine and just gets in the way of squats. The bar is guided but not hooked to a cable so there is play in the bar as one side can dip lower than the other and this makes it a pain to slide the latch hooks back into the slot. All in all if you find this on sale it's probably a good deal just not worth $999 in my opinion
