This system is a good value for the home gym. It is sturdy and performs well, unlike some undersized or flimsy weight training equipment. (I am using this cage as the replacement for a weight bench that I actually threw away after using it for less than a month. That one was intended to replace a bench that we actually wore out over about 15 years.) This equipment comes in a heavy single box, but is relatively easy to assemble. While it is advertised as fitting Olympic weights, you can leave off the heavy plastic posts and use the inner posts for plates with a one inch hole. (This is what I have done since I already had a standard bar and weights.) The cabling system for the weight tower works smoothly for a large range of exercises. The weight bench is sturdy and wider than many benches. I have only three minor issues in order of significance: 1) The bench is not well balanced with weights on the leg machine. The weight post is almost over the end of the bench legs so the bench wants to tip up, especially with anything close to or over 100lbs. This is not a problem when someone is on the bench and actively using it. 2) The holes for the adjustable bar rests are just a little bit too far apart for making the adjustments that I would like to accommodate different sized users and different exercises. 3) The weight post on the leg machine has some space that allows the post to rotate and shift the weight by an inch or so when using the leg machine. The feel is disconcerting at first. I tried to wrap the post in some rubber pads, but the post quickly pinched through the pads. I don't see any way to secure it any better(spot welding maybe). I expect that this post will eventually fail as a result of the wear. 4) In order to use the cage to its full capability you have to move the bench around. The bench is awkward to move because the incline is held by gravity and there is no good place to hold it. Ultimately you end up dragging it and the rubber boots on the foot come off. Overall this is a very good piece of equipment, and I am very happy with it.

I originally felt like giving it less stars, not because of the product itself, but because of how LONG IT TOOK TO GET IT! First, waited 3 weeks or more, then they LOST IT somewhere and they had to refund it and I had to REORDER IT AGAIN (YES, AFTER WAITING THAT LONG FOR IT) I had to wait ANOTHER 3 PLUS WEEKS for it to actually show up this time, but they way it was delivered was awful! The box was so badly damaged, some of it was all sticking out. But the product itself is GREAT! It's super affordable, the price couldn't be better. Honestly, I wasn't even expecting for it to be as nice as is it, BECAUSE of how inexpensive it was! Especially compared to ANY other ones and brands, on Amazon & ALL other stores, online and in-store prices, this one is a whole lot cheaper than any other one out there, GUARENTEED! But because of that, I didn't get my hopes up; I was on a tight budget and I knew that, so I wasn't expecting it to be this nice and high quality. So that's why I decided not to give it less stars than it deserves, because I see that a lot lately, PEOPLE YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THIS: Good products are getting bad reviews, not based on the product itself, but instead, on THE PLACE THEY PURCHAED IT FROM, how long it took to arrive, the quality of the customer service,... I really like the product overall. It's very sturdy and offers a wide variety of exercise options. My biggest complaint is the assembly. The manual it came with offered only photos. I was able to find step by step instructions online and then I used the photos in the manual to find the pieces and line everything up correctly. Also, the nuts are nyloc nuts that require a wrench to tighten, which is not included in the packaging. I highly recommend using a socket wrench as it made the process much easier. Also, as someone else mentioned, the directions on the pulley system are not very clear. I think that part took me the longest to figure out. And depending on your height, you may need a small step ladder to put the top pieces together. I put this together by myself, but if you have another set of hands for the top of the cage, that would be helpful as well. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

Great workout system. Second Marcy system I've had. First one was the large machine and lasted me and my son for over a decade. This one is just as nice on quality, stability and definitely price. (Actually hated loosing first one so I know I couldn't go wrong).

I bought this machine as it can be used to perform a wide range or workouts and the price point is also attractive. I like the machine but the I have a huge complaint about assembling instructions. The parts are not numbered and the manual does not instruct in which order the parts should be assembled. For example if you fix the pulleys first and then try to send the cables over them it won’t work. Rather you should put the cables over the pulleys and then mount the pulleys. I leaned it the hard way and there are many such instances.

This machine was stupid easy to put together. The instructions might seem overwhelming if you have never done a build before but the pictures in the manual are so clear to see. All the parts make sense on where they need to go that you almost don't even need to look at the diagram. AND THE BEST PART, the hardware came in the absolute best packaging I've ever seen. I wish I took a picture but it made the process so easy I was smiling the whole time. Other than that, it took me about 4 hours?? I wasn't really keeping time though so give or take another 30 minutes. -Assembly is a 10/10 After it's complete it is somewhat sturdy. As you can imagine given that it's just held together by bolts and some slide-in-to-place slots it has some type of wiggle. However I don't think that matters at all. I've been doing 215 on squats and racking the bar pretty hard, the wiggles aren't affecting my sets at all. So just expect that after. -Sturdiness is a 9/10 Only about 4 of the pieces came with scratches on them, hardly noticble really, but they were. If you want absolute perfection, I think you always run that risk when asking for things to be shipped to you so I expected some type of scratching. It came with a ankle, single-hand, small bar, lat bar, and clips for the lat machine and clips for the leg extension/curl machine on the bench. Overall is a 10/10 I highly recommend you get weight plates and an bar first before you buy this. It's not fun just looking at it when it's ready to go. A 6 foot Olympic bar fits just fine on it. If you're a giant person the dimensions might make it tough to do bench press. I just scoot down a little and then I have clearance on both sides. I'm happy with this machine it's a perfect start and will be with me for the long haul.
